History
Wilby is David's tracking dog, whom he takes with him as he searches for a lost lamb. They find the lamb, however, it has since succumbed to the cold during the night, so they end up returning to the farm, where David tells his mother Ruth about what happened. Ruth, believing their farm is a lost cause, suggests selling it off. In the hopes of finding a buyer, David begins travelling with Wilby to Longbourn. Wilby finds a cup on the road, and after giving it to David, he leads him to a cart in the woods. The cart owner, Gabriel, states he is going to Longbourn as well, to which David decides to travel together with him. However, Gabriel has ulterior motives, and later knocks David out with a drugged drink, before giving Wilby a torn piece of a cloak to sniff. Wilby tracks down the owner of the cloak, Snow White, whom Gabriel wishes to capture and turn into the Queen. Soon after, Wilby runs back to an unconscious David, and once he wakes up, he leads his master to the cart, which now houses an imprisoned Snow White. ("Heartless")
After these events, Wilby continues herding on the farm.[1]
