Did I hear that right?
This page is the transcript for "To Catch a Thief". Feel free to correct any errors. If you need any help, please see our policies.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Dungeon. Knave of Hearts solemnly stares at the Red Queen who has been placed in a glass box.

Jafar: Love makes us do the maddest things, doesn't it?
Knave: Go away.
Jafar: She risked so much to get you back. Pity it didn't work out.
Knave: Yeah, pity.
Jafar: She does look beautiful, though. Likes she's only asleep. Like you could almost reach out and wake her up—
Knave: Leave her alone!
Jafar: I like you with your heart in your chest. I imagine you must want to kill me for what I did.
Knave: Why don't you open this door and we'll find out.
Old Prisoner: Haven't you tortured him enough?! Show the boy some mercy!
Jafar: Mercy? And I suppose you'd be the expert on that subject.
Old Prisoner: I've learned the error of my ways. But I'm waiting for you to learn anything at all!
Jafar: I'm going to him something better than mercy, Father. I'm gonna give him hope. If he agrees to one small favor.
Knave: (spits)If you think I'll ever help you, you're madder than the hatter.
Jafar: You know, when I was a young boy, I lost someone I loved. And I can still remember exactly how it felt. The cold rushing in, like the fabric of the world had ripped in half. What if I told you there was a way to sew it back together again? To bring back Anastasia?
Knave: I'd would say you were a lying bastard.
Jafar: Half right — But ask yourself, what if there is a chance, no matter how small, to see her again? She risked everything for you. Don't you think you owe her the same?
Old Prisoner: Don't listen to him, boy.
Jafar: Oh, I think he'll do more than listen. Give a man the proper motivation, there's no telling what he might do.

SCENE: Wonderland. Past. The Queen of Hearts' Guard walk through the woods lead by the Captain of the Guard and the Knave of Hearts.

Knave: Well, this is just lovely, innit? Tromping through the cold with your lads. Anyone know a good marching song? Nope? I don't know what you enjoy more — the frostbite or the conversation?
Captain: Stop talking.
Knave: Well, I'd like to stop walking but the Queen of Hearts ordered me to, so I'm going to—
(The Captain grabs the Knave by the throat.)
Captain: Listen, Knave. We're hunting the most dangerous criminal in Wonderland. Killed plenty of men, women, children. Been invading my men for weeks — trained soldiers. So tell me, how are you going to help us?
Knave: By paying attention.
Captain: To what?
Knave: Campfire you're standin' in.
(The captain looks down and let's go of Knave.) Captain: We're close! Spread out! And show no mercy. Because you'll get none from this monster. (They hear rustling behind them and see a cloaked figure running through the woods.) There! (The Guard chase after the cloaked criminal. Knave races ahead. He draws his sword as he runs but loses the suspect. Knave trips and falls down the hillside. At the bottom he is faced with the hooded criminal and a sword to his head.)
Alice: You're quite clumsy for a soldier.
Knave: And you're a little...young to be a murderer.
Alice: A murderer? (sighs) Is that what the Queen of Hearts says I am?
Knave: She used a few other nasty words, as well. But given the circumstances, I hope she's wrong.
Alice: She's wrong. (Alice pulls down her hood. Knave gets up from the ground.) You need to be more selective with who you take orders from, soldier.
Knave: I'm not a soldier.
Alice: Then who are you?
Knave: I don't have to tell. (Alice points her sword closer to Knave's throat.)
Alice: Who are you?
Knave: The Queen's Knave.
Alice: (smirks) A knave? Kind of like a court jester.
Knave: No. More like a jack-of-all-trades, actually.
Alice: But, apparently, a master of none.
Knave: Watch your tongue, lass. Else you'll lose that as well as your head.
Alice: That's a little redundant, don't you think?
Knave: Depends which one you lose first.
Alice: See you around, Knave of Hearts.
Knave: This isn't over! You will be seeing me again! I'll promise you that!

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Hideout in the Outlands

Cyrus: Alice, you have to understand.
Alice: I do understand. I just don't agree.
Cyrus: To defeat Jafar, we need to free my brothers from their bottles, but to do that...
Both: We need to return the stolen water to the Well of Wonders.
Alice: And you believe that that water is in Jafar's staff.
Cyrus: Yes. If my mother's in there, the water rests with her.
Alice: Well, let's free her first. If I had a chance to speak with my mother again, I would do anything—
Cyrus: I defied the Fates once before, Alice, and was cursed into a bottle for hundreds of years. I would sacrifice my own life, but not a life with you.
Alice: Oh right, then. If you're certain. Let's set of now, while it's still light.
Knave: Set off where?
Alice: Will! (Alice runs up to Knave and hugs him.) You're out! You got away! I never thought I'd be so happy to see your face. What's wrong?
Knave: (broken voice) She's dead, Alice. Anastasia — she's dead. Jafar — he stabbed her right in front of me, put me heart back in me chest, and made me watched her die right there on the ground.
Alice: I'm so sorry. (Alice hugs Knave.) I want you to know that you're not alone. We're here for you — Both of us.
Knave: D'you mean that?
Alice: Of course I do.
Knave: There's something you can do, actually. I mean a way to truly, really make things better.
Alice: Well, tell me.
Knave: Remember when I said, anything's possible in Wonderland? Well, it turns out I was right. We can bring Anastasia back to life. There's just one catch. We have to let Jafar win.

SCENE: Wonderland. Past. Knave pulls out a knife and approaches a sleeping Alice. As he draws near Knave sets off a trap.

Alice: You again.
Knave: Unfortunately. This is very uncomfortable.
Alice: Good. Maybe this time, you've learned your lesson. (Knave swings wildly with his knife from the trap.) Apparently not. (Alice knocks the knife out of Knave's hand with a stick.)
Knave: Ow! That hurt.
Alice: Good, it was supposed to. You're making me wonder why I keep sparing your life when you are continually trying to take mine.
Knave: Honestly, I've been wondering the same thing, given your history and all.
Alice: My history?
Knave: Yep.
Alice: All I did was try and pick a weeping willow from the Queen's garden.
Knave: You know what? I actually believe ya.
Alice: Good.
Knave: I still hafta kill ya!
Alice: Why?
Knave: I don't have a choice, really.
Alice: Everybody has a choice.
Knave: Not me.
Alice: I've heard of people like you. The Queen of Hearts — did she take your...?
Knave: In hindsight, not one of me better ideas.
Alice: You mean you asked her too?!
Knave: It's a long story. Didn't quite realize what it all entailed.
Alice: And now you have to do everything—
Knave: Whatever she says, yeah. That's right. Yep.
Alice: Well...this is a predicament. I can't just leave you here. And I can't have you running around, trying to kill me, either.
Knave: Nah.
Alice: Maybe there's a way to get what we want.
Knave: What are you talking about?
Alice: What if I... stole your heart back?
Knave: You? (laughs)
Alice: What is so funny?
Knave: Oh, nothing. It's just — you're obviously not much of a thief.
Alice: Obvious to who?
Knave: A thief. You clearly don't even know the first rule of thievery.
Alice: Which is what?
Knave: "The best thieves never work alone."
Alice: Well, I work alone and I, uh, got the drop on you — twice.
Knave: You got lucky - (imitating Alice's voice) twice. (normal voice) My heart's locked in the Queen's vault, guarded by her best men. So why would you take a risk like that just to help me?
Alice: Well...everybody deserves a second chance.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Hideout in the Outlands.

Knave: Aren't you the one that told me that everybody deserves a second chance.
Alice: Yes, but—
Knave: Well, this is Anastasia's second chance. If we give that staff back to Jafar he'll change the Laws of Magic.
Cyrus: Which is exactly what we're trying to prevent.
Knave: I don't know if you've been listenin' mate but the situation's changed. I know it sounds like a bad plan.
Alice: It sounds like an awful plan.
Knave: You got a better one.
Alice: Will, we want to help—
Knave: You keep saying that but I don't see either of you doing anything...Please. If you were really a mate of mine you'd hand that thing over.
Cyrus: You know we can't.
Knave: Alice...
Alice: We can't. I'm sorry.
Knave: So that's how it is then.
Alice: Will, think. Even if Jafar kept his end of the bargain — which he won't—
Knave: You don't know that.
Alice: Will, if he did. Then what? Yes, Ana will be alive but what about all the people that would die because of it. We can't give someone as evil as Jafar that kind of power. I'd do anything for you. I just can't do that.
Knave: You're right.
Alice: Will...
Knave: That's okay. You're right. I was thinking with my heart and not with my head. I haven't had the option in awhile. Sometimes you need a friend who can set you straight.
Alice: You want to come with us?
Knave: Where to?
Cyrus: The Well of Wonders. Where this all started. And where it's going to end.
Knave: I guess I could go on one last adventure. Get some fresh air before Jafar brings me back to that bottle.
Alice: For all time sake.
Knave: Sounds superb.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle.

Jabberwocky: Did you know that everyone's fear has its own unique scent. Yours, Jafar, smells like pine the snow.
Jafar: Sneak up on me again and I'll pin you to the ceiling for another thousand years.
Jabberwocky: If you're tired of me why don't you just give me the Vorpal Blade, like you promised and I'll be on my way.
Jafar: You'll get this back when I finish the spell. Not before.
Jabberwocky: Your words say one thing but your fear says another. You're worried you won't be able to complete the spell because you need another sorcerer for that. You're wondering why the staff wouldn't harm Cyrus. Afraid it might have something to do with the one inside it. Amara...
Jafar: You mistake curiosity for fear. You know what the difference is between you and me. I don't need to get inside your head to know what you're afraid of. You wear it on that tortured face of yours. You're afraid I won't live up to my end of the bargain. And you'll be my slave as long as we both shall live.
Jabberwocky: The thought had crossed my mind.
Jafar: Good. Now let's see if there's a way of keeping my fears from coming true. And then maybe... just maybe I'll consider doing the same for yours.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Alice, Cyrus and Knave have set camp by the side of a river. They have fallen asleep. Knave eyes the staff which is leaning on top of a mushroom next to Cyrus. He gets up to grab it but he arm is grabbed by Cyrus.

Cyrus: Careful. If I wasn't aware, I'd say you were stealing.
Knave: Let go of my arm, mate.
Cyrus: You know Alice trusts you.
Knave: And you don't?
Cyrus: Obviously. It'll break her heart if she finds out about this.
Knave: She's a tough girl. She'll be fine.
Cyrus: How 'bout you get back to bed. We'll pretend like it never happened.
Knave: I was never really good at pretending. (Knave punches Cyrus out cold.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Past. Wonderland Maze. Alice eyes the guards manning the vault from a distance.

Alice: Three, two, one. (The guards begin to march around the vault. Alice sneaks closer hiding behind a shrub. The guards arrive back and Alice takes the keys off one of the guards just before they stomp into position. She counts to three to herself and the guards turn as she slides behind a vault's pillar. She sneaks behind them and turns the key as they stomp and is able to get inside.) Lovely. Now which one of these drawers holds the Knave's heart. "3H"? "7S"? What is this? Oh, it's a deck of cards. Three of Hearts. Seven of Spades. K-k-k. No, "K" would be for King. What's Knave? He'd be... Jack of all trades. (Alice opens the drawer with "JH" on it and opens the chest to find the Knave's heart inside.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Cyrus wakes up Alice.

Cyrus: Alice, wake up!
Alice: What? What happened? (Alice notices Cyrus examining his head and sees Knaves bed empty.) Oh, no. How long ago?
Cyrus: A few minutes at most.
Alice: It's my fault. I shouldn't have trusted him.
Cyrus: You put your faith in a friend. It was his mistake, not yours. Fortunately, he made another mistake. He left us with this.
Alice: The Lost and Found.
Cyrus: As long as there's a staff it will lead us straight to him.
Alice: And what do we do if we catch him.
Cyrus: When we catch him, we'll ask politely to return it to us.
Alice: And if he doesn't?
Cyrus: We take it back.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Jafar enters the throne room and magically opens the cabinet holding the genie bottles. He unleashes Taj and Rafi from their bottles.

Taj: What do you want?
Jafar: Who says I want anything?
Taj: All these years, you never once let us out of our bottles.
Jafar: That's because I was never interested in you. But I am now. I'm curious. There was a woman that first taught me about genies. Her name was Amara. Have you ever heard of her?
Rafi: Never.
Jafar: Are you sure? She'd been searching for you for quite some time.
Taj: So have many others.
Jafar: Indeed.
Rafi: Wait! Is that all you wanted?
Jafar: I'm afraid it is. I didn't bring you out for your conversation. All I really needed was to get a look at you. (Jafar smiles.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Knave trends through the woods to get back to Jafar but he seems lost with Alice and Cyrus tracking him with the Lost and Found.

Knave: Bollocks. Let's go this way. This way...
Cyrus: Left. Right. No, wait. Left again. (Knave walks in one direction but then changes his mind.)
Knave: Double bollocks.
Cyrus: Left. Right. His taking a very strange route.
Alice: Navigation was never his strong suit.
Cyrus: There! I see him.
Alice: Will, wait! Split up, we can box him in. (Cyrus takes the downhill track while Alice takes the high one. Alice finds herself at the edge of a cliff. Knave sneaks up behind her with a knife.)
Knave: Hello Alice.
Alice: Hello Will. I guess you're not as clumsy as you use to be. So what now?
Knave: I know it doesn't make any sense. I not say it does but I love her.
Alice: I understand.
Knave: Do ya?! I finally got my heart back and asking me not to use it. I went to the ends of the earth for you and Cyrus, risking me a dozen times.
Alice: That's different—
Knave: Why?! Why is different? You know what your problem is, you think your love story is the only one worth fighting for. Don't follow me.
Alice: Will, wait! (Alice slips and falls into the water below.) Help! Will!
Knave: Alice! (He takes a deep breath and jumps in after her. He rescues her and Alice tries to dry next to a fire.)
Alice: You saved me.
Knave: You would've done the same for me. You have done the same for me, now that I think about.
Alice: I thought you didn't know how to swim.
Knave: I don't know how to lose you either, Alice. Given the proper motivation you never know what you might be wiling to do.
Alice: You were right.
Knave: I was?
Alice: No matter how bad things got or how much danger we had to pass through, you stood by me, until Cyrus and I were back together. You stood by me. We always figured out a way to survive. We did that together. The best thieves never work alone.
Knave: I said all that?
Alice: You just have the right to fight for your own love story. Just helping Jafar isn't the way.
Knave: You're right. I guess I just thought...
Alice: You thought you were alone but you're not.

SCENE: Wonderland. Past. Knave is swinging the net trying to weaken the rope but to no avail. Alice comes up and cuts the rope with her sword and Knave falls to the ground.

Knave: Bloody hell. A bit of warning wouldn't have hurt. Not as near much as the ground anyway.
Alice: Good news. The Queen of Hearts no longer controls you.
Knave: Oh is that so? (Picks up a stick to swing at Alice. Alice dodges and pushes him into a tree.)
Alice: You don't understand. I have your heart!
Knave: Yeah, I don't really understand it either. I still kinda feel like I have to kill ya. Tell you what, I'll give you a ten-second head start.
Alice: No...
Knave: Twenty second head start.
Alice: I don't want a head start.
Knave: Well, what do you bloody want then?!
Alice: I want you to stop trying to kill me!
Knave: Yep. I think that did the trick.
Alice: You're done coming after me.
Knave: I guess so. I'll be taking my heart back now, thank you very much.
Alice: So if I possess your heart you'll do whatever I say.
Knave: Wait a minute, Alice.
Alice: Stand on one foot.
Knave: Very good. Now, you've had your fun now. Let's-let's sort things out now.
Alice: Flap your arms like a chicken.
Knave: Fantastic. Look, just because I'm not ordered to kill you anymore doesn't mean I can't.
Alice: Stop. Help me show my father I'm not crazy. Help me find proof so he can see that Wonderland is real.
Knave: If that's what you want?
Alice: More than anything.
Knave: Alright, then. Let's go and get you your proof.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Knave, Alice and Cyrus traverse through the woods with lanterns.

Cyrus: Thank you for saving Alice.
Knave: Don't mention it. Any chance this make us even?
Cyrus: More than even.
Knave: Are you sure? Just don't want to be watching me back. How 'bout I give you a free swing.
Cyrus: No, thank you.
Knave: Seriously, I don't mind.
Cyrus: I do.
Knave: Because you're a lover and not a fight and all that.
Cyrus: How 'bout I carry you around the next 5 hours.
Alice: Stop!
Cyrus: I don't hear anything.
Alice: Exactly. The Jabberwocky, she's here.
Cyrus: Are you sure? (Their lanterns turn off.)
Knave: Pretty sure.
Alice: Stop playing games, Jabberwocky. Show yourself! (Lanterns turn on again.)
Jabberwocky: Be careful what you wish for. (The three turn around.)
Alice: You don't scare us.
Jabberwocky: But I know what does.
Cyrus: Take one more step and I'll take your head clean off your shoulders.
Jabberwocky: Oh, now, Cyrus. Is that any way to talk to a lady? What would your mother think?
Cyrus: You don't know anything about my mother.
Knave: Don't let her get in your head. She's poisonous, this one.
Alice: If Jafar know we're here, why would he send you?
Jabberwocky: He doesn't and he didn't. My affinity for Jafar has lessen of late.
Alice: What do you want?
Jabberwocky: I want what anybody wants...Freedom.
Alice: Forgive us if your freedom is neither a concern nor a priority. But best of luck. (Alice turns to walk but Jabberwocky intercedes.)
Jabberwocky: Don't be a fool, Alice, or you'll end up buried in a dungeon, like your fair-haired friend. You know, glass coffin will only stave off decay long.
Knave: You're a bloody monster.
Jabberwocky: Nobody's born a monster. We're made. Product of a cruel world...filled with cruel people. Yes. I feed on fear. But remove Jafar from this land and fear will leave with him. With nothing left to eat, I'll be forced to simply...move on. Isn't that what everybody wants?
Cyrus: We want more than just to defeat Jafar.
Alice: We want to bring back the Queen. So unless you can help us with that, you're of no use to us.
Jabberwocky: I'm sorry. I can't help you with that. But she can. (The eyes of the serpent staff grow yellow.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Past. Alice and Knave have a drink at a tavern. Alice sculls her drink faster than Knave.

Alice: Done!
Knave: Nah. (Inspecting Alice's mug.) I thought you didn't like to drink?
Alice: I don't. But I do like to win.
Knave: You know, I use to love throwing back a pint but these days it's just not the same. You might say my heart's not in it.
Alice: I'm sorry about that. You must think I'm a terrible person for holding onto it.
Knave: Alice, you could make me do whatever you wanted right now and made me come out for a cold beer. Your fighting to hold onto your father. The only family you got left. If that makes you a terrible person then I wish everyone was as terrible as you.
Alice: I still don't know why I have to find proof for him after all these years. I suppose I'm just--
Knave: Stubborn! (Burps.)
Alice: Exactly.
Knave: I grew up with a very stubborn girl. Always felt like they were the best kind.
Alice: Was she an old flame?
Knave: Nothing like that. My sister, Penelope. Four years younger and better at almost everything. We had a lake by our cottage and in the winter it'd freeze over. And we must of spent hours, days even out on that lake. But all it takes is one second. One thin patch of ice and your whole life changes forever. I always wondered what she'd be like if she grew up. Maybe I think, she would've been a bit like you.
Alice: I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to lose someone. It's... (She shakes her head.) It's not right for me to hold on to this.
Knave: Oh dear. So you're just givin' it back to me.
Alice: Finding proof for my father, that's my problem. I can't drag you into it. I need to do this alone.
Knave: Alice, you've forgotten already. The best thieves never work alone. (Alice smiles.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Alice and Knave pull the grate off for the secret tunnels.

Alice: Pull! ...Three hundred and sixteen, three hundred and seventeen, three hundred and eighteen...
Knave: Have you been counting this whole time?
Alice: I told you we need to time this out perfectly.
Knave: And you're still counting right now while talking to me.
Alice: I'm trying to! Yes.
Knave: Oh, okay. Would it be better if I shut up?
Alice: If you don't mind. Three hundred and nineteen, three hundred and twenty. Okay. Go!

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Jabberwocky enters the castle with Cyrus tied up.

Jabberwocky: Jafar! I brought you (Jabberwocky tugs the rope.)...a treat.
Jafar: This isn't what I ordered.
Jabberwocky: He could be quite valuable to us. And, I might add...a worthy payment in exchange for the Vorpal Blade.
Jafar: You could be right. You have something that belongs to me. My staff! Where is it? (Cyrus spits at him. He wipes his face then slaps Cyrus.) Let's try that again, shall we?
Cyrus: You're stick — it's long gone. So are Alice and the Knave.
Jafar: Is he telling the truth?
Jabberwocky: Hm. Tch, tch, tch, tch, tch. Cyrusssss. He fears the consequences. But yes. He is.
Jafar: Then it's a good thingI still have you. As for the KNvae, I have his bottle — which is all I need to bring him back, no matter how far he runs. (Jafar snaps his fingers. Guards take Cyrus away.)
Jabberwocky: And what about me?
Jafar: Sit a good little girl. I'll let you know when your services are required.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Underground Dungeon. Alice and Knave wait for the the guard to pass.

Alice: If it's too hard for you to be here with her...
Knave: (shakes his head) It's good. Helps me remember why we're doing something as crazy as this.
Alice: Are you ready?
Knave: Are you? Once we start, there's no turning back, no telling what's gonna happen—to either of us.
Alice: Just be careful.
Knave: Come on. That's never really been either of our styles, has it?
Alice: No, not really.
Knave: So let's just say...I'll see ya soon.
Alice: I'll see you soon. (Knave clears his throat.) 598, 599, 600. It's time.(Knave goes round the corner to where the Red Queen's glass coffin is. The Old Prisoner stands in astonishment in his cell.)
Knave: Almost there, Ana.
Guard: Hey! What do you think you're doing?
Knave: (sighs) I'm paying me respects. Do you mind? (As the guards go to grab Knave he dodges them and runs down the hall with the guards after him. Leaving Alice behind. Cyrus continues to keep in time by tapping his fingers. Knave runs through the Wonderland Castle. Alice finds some keys and begins to unlock the Old Prisoner's cell door.)
Alice: I don't believe we've met. My name's—
Old Prisoner: I know who you are, Alice.
Alice: Cyrus says you hold great importance to Jafar and if I freed you... you'd help us.
Old Prisoner: Help you do what?
Alice: Making sure Jafar never hurts anyone again. (Old Prisoner nods and follows Alice out.) Come on.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Throne Room. Cyrus looks on as Jafar magically opens the box containing the genie bottles.

Jafar: It must be strange for you. To be outside of the bottle, looking in. I can't imagine what your life must have been like. Knowing at a moment's notice, no matter where you'll be yanked away by your master.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Knave reaches to a deadend.

Knave: (turns around) Oh, there you are! Two, three...six of ya!

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Throne Room.

Jafar: Does it hurt when you turn to dust?
Cyrus: Why don't you call back your genie and ask?

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. The guards get closer drawing their swords.

Knave: Sorry, Lads. I'd love to stay and chat, but I've got a bottle to catch. And minute now. Any minute now! Oh, bloody he— (The guard goes to swing his sword but Knave disappears into dust.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Throne Room. Knave appears in from of Jafar.

Knave: Oh, hello, Jafar. Fancy seeing you here. (Jafar magically lifts Knave by the throat.)
Jafar: Tell me where my staff is, or I swear I'll make you spend eternity in that box. Watching your precious Anastasia rot until she's nothing but hair and bone. Where is it?!
Amara: Right behind you.
Jafar: Amara.
Amara: Hello, Jafar. It's been a long time. (Amara snaps her fingers and Knave is released from Jafar's spell and falls to the ground.) This is between you and I, Jafar. Let's leave the others out of it.
Cyrus: Will, where's Alice?
Jafar: As you wish. (Jafar raises his hand making Knave return to the bottle. Amara and Cyrus exchange looks and Cyrus nods.) I'm curious as to how you managed to get out of that staff.
Amara: Let's just say I didn't teach you everything I know.
Jafar: You were safer when you were in the stick.
Amara: As were you. (Amara picks up and throws the throne at Jafar but Jafar smashes it.)
Jafar: You're gonna have to do better than that. (Amara is concerned. Cyrus tries to undo his restrains.)

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Alice and the Old Prisoner continue through the dungeon but a surrounded by guards.

Alice: Get back!
Old Prisoner: There's too many of them! (Alice is able to fend off all the guards.) Incredible! Where did you learn to fight like that?
Alice: Cyrus — He taught me.
Old Prisoner: It was a lucky day when you stumbled upon his bottle.
Alice: Wasn't just luck. I had a little help.

SCENE: Wonderland. Past. Wonderland Maze. Alice and the Knave try to fight off the Queen of Heart's guard.

Alice: I've never used one of these before! What do I do?
Knave: Put the pointy end into the bloke who's trying to kill ya, Alice!
Alice: Slight problem. (Alice throws the soldier over her shoulder and he hits the maze's wall which pulls him in.) Knave! Did you see that?!
Knave: I'm a bit preoccupied at the moment, Alice!
Alice: The walls — get him close to the walls! (Knave kicks the soldier to the wall. He screams as the wall pulls him in.) The bag! (Knave grabs the bag off the soldier.)
Knave: Now, don't open it till we get home. Rabbits have a nasty habit of running off. In there is all the proof you need for your father. (There's noise in the distance.) Take it and go. I'll distract the guards.
Alice: But what about—
Knave: It's time you got the hell out of Wonderland, Alice.
Alice: What about thieves never working alone and that—
Knave: Trust me. A great girl like you won't be alone for long. I have a feeling your happy ending is right around the corner.

SCENE: Wonderland. Present. Wonderland Castle. Will looks on through the bottom of his bottle as the fight ensues between Amara and Jafar.

Amara: You still have much to learn, Jafar. (Amara transforms the lantern above them into giant serpents. Jafar raises his hand and incinerates them.)
Jafar: Snakes? You need a new bit, Amara. The years have made you lazy.
Amara: (chuckles) You should have killed me when you had the chance. Oh. That's right — you can't. You need the magic of two sorcerers to do your spell. And I can promise you this — This fight only ends when one of us dies. So no matter who that is, you lose. (Amara breaks the looking glass into a thousands of shards and throw them into Jafar's direction. Jafar uses all his magic to stop the shards. Cyrus gets free and goes for the bottles while Jafar is distracted.)
Jafar: After all these years, I've finally figured it out — what you were really after. It wasn't power. It's always the same story with us sorcerers. At the end of the all comes back family. (Jafar slides a shard into Cyrus's direction. Alice feels a sharp pain and falls to the floor. Jafar deepens the shard and finally pulls it out. Cyrus falls to the ground. Amara runs over to Cyrus.)
Alice: Cyrus... Stay here. (to Old Prisoner)
Jafar: (to Amara) YOu were never after the bottles. You were after the people inside them. You son is dying, Amara. And the only way you'll be able to save him when he does is to do what we set out to do in the beginning — complete the spell and change the Laws of Magic. What was it you asked me all those years ago? Ah, yes. Are you willing to do what's necessary to get what you want? (Amara turns to Jafar. Alice runs down the halls of the Wonderland Castle towards the throne room. She's shooked to see the spell is being enacted by Amara and Jafar but then sees Cyrus and runs to him. Knave and Alice look on helplessly as lightning bolts flicker everywhere. Then Jafar's eyes glow white!)
