I know it is a strech, but she is old and the Ogre Wars lasted for many years so maybe she moved on after Bae!

    • Who can be Granny?  I don't understand your post as to what you are refering to sorry.

Spy is theorizing Morraine grew up to be Granny.

Edit: I changed the thread title so Morraine's name is in it, so it doesn't confuse people about who is being referred to.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Oh, ok thank you now it makes more sense.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • If Rumple is around 300 years old...I doubt it. Morraine has probably been dead for a long time now.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Unless granny found the fountain of youth, I doubt that she is Morraine.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Maybe the fact that she is a werewolf lengthened her life.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I for one like this theory. I have been wondering who Morrain is and what happened in granny's youth for a while now and you have just about anwsered both my Questions with one theory so I thank you.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I was wondering, is Rumple 300 years old our time, or FL time? Just curious if anyone from the studio has stated this.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Rum was 300 years old when Regina cast the curse, so he's 300 in Fairy Tale Time.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • It was stated by Robert Carlyle, I think it was last year.

But "our time" and "FTL time" are the same, time runs concurrently.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • But if Bae is still alive, couldn't Morraine be?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Baelfire is still alive (if indeed he is alive) because the bean dropped him into a different time period.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Here's my theory: Maybe Morraine found out Baelfire left, and tried to find him. Maybe the Blue Fairy lied to Rumple and really still had beans, or she traded with pirates. Then, she travelled to this world, but couldn't find Baelfire, but she fell in love with Greg, and Morraine is HER. Morraine is probably NOT Granny, because too much time would have passed. Say in Desperate sould, Rumple is 50. Morraine was alive then. If 250 years passed, Morraine would be dead most likely.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • 300 years past. Rumpel has been the Dark one for 300 years. Morraine is NOT Granny. But it always makes me laugh that people will come up with so many crazy reasons for their crazy theories.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Where does it say that Rumplestiltskin is 300 years old?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Robert Carlyle confirmed it last year.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I think that all theories are possible... We can't forget that the writers came from Lost, Buffy, etc... LOL

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • i like it! it be intresting for the show. it would explain all the hatred granny has for rumple (although i know everyone hates him just because) but rumple did say he had a complicated relationship with her. Plus it be fun in Neil came back to storybrooke and they have some kind of reunion.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I like the theory and I like Morraine, but I agree the timing is off. Baelfire told Emma that our world wasn't the first place he came to ("if it was, I'd be a couple hundred years old by now"; I still think Bae is Peter Pan), but Morraine was left behind in Fairy Tale land when Bae went through the portal.

When Bae fell through the portal, he most likely went to Neverland, which would explain why he would know Hook, which keeps boys around 14 and younger the same age forever. Morraine did not fall through the portal so she would keep growing.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I think Morraine was just there for Baelfire to be able to talk to someone.  I doubt she is anything more in the grand scheme of things.

Did you really just reply to yourself? XD

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I don't think Morraine is Granny, but if they were the same person, the "Ogre Wars" Granny talks about could possibly be Baelfire's XD, Just kidding.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • I doubt it. According to my research, Granny's name is "Widow Lucas", and old man Gepetto (who is probably about as old than Granny) was just a child when Jiminy made that deal with Rumpelstiltskin. His deal with Jiminy occured in the Dark Castle, and his duel with Hook happened when he was still living old village house (which he upgraded after he aquired his curse) before he aquired the Dark Castle. If anything, I doubt Granny would be THAT old at this point. Besides, Neal has been staying at her Bed and Breakfast, so I'd think one of them would have recognized the other by now (though it would make interesting drama, and who knows what will happen when Gold finds out Morraine was the one who told Baelfire about the Blue Fairy, which is what got everybody in this mess to begin with).

I was under the impression that anybody who wasn't logged in as a member posted as 'A Spy In The Mirror' so it's a possibility that the second 'Spy' that quoted the first were two different people, LOL

    • No, they're not two different people, you can tell because the IP is the same. This person also has a history of replying to theirself.

You're correct that any IP user is "A Spy in the Mirror", I'm the one who set that up ;)

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Ah, LOL. Didn't notice the IP thingy.

Kudos on the 'A Spy In The Mirror'...always liked that.

Is it possible this person doesn't know how to edit their comments, but adds additional commentary after adding a comment?  Why must we assume the negative?  (If I am wrong that a negative connotation is being directed towards this person, then I apologize.  That being said, I have seen far too many people attacked/criticized/judged on the internet for no good reason.)

Different people have different levels of computer savvy.

    • Dude that happened 3 years ago... And I don't think there was any negative connotation, it was just funny.

Like, for instance, someone commenting on a thread from 2013. Pretty sure no one even remembers what happened here anymore. XD

Anyway, since this is was brought back from the dead anyway, I'll give my take. While I don't think Granny is Morraine, I always liked the theory that Maleficent is Morraine. And the age thing doesn't matter, because they have implyed Mal has a longer life (for whatever reason).

Wow.  I didn't realize that I was breaking some stupid law about whether a person should post within a certain time frame.  Would someone out there provide me the law source of the internet that states it is illegal to comment on discussions of a certain age?  You'll have to pardon me.  I missed that one.
