  • I just saw that in the List of Minor Characters, Walt Disney's place is "Unknown Origin (Land Without Magic)".

Despite that was never mentioned on the show, Walt Disney was born on Hermosa, Chicago, Illinois the fifth of december of 1901. Is it fine if we create a "Chicago" part for him?

    • Disagree. Real life Walt Disney was born in Chicago. We don't know if the ficcional one was

    • I’m split, on the one hand there is what Matheus says but we do include his death day, which I don’t believe we have a specific source for (though we do have a source that Isaac was made an author soon afterwards).

That's the source that we use

Why would there be a fictional Walt Disney?

      The show is ficcional

Still makes no sense, why would they change Walt Disney's hometown, family, life, etc? The show is fictional but not in many aspects. That's speculation.

    • There's no on-screen info or confirmation by A&E that he was born in Chicago. So, there's no reason to add it

    • The Wiki sees him as real Walt Disney.

In 4x16, August only mentions the last author as "a man named Walt", and that's it. In 4x21 however, we see the Apprentice talking about how the latest author (without giving out his name) passed away on the day of real Walt Disney's death.

And if you check the List of Minor Characters page, you'll see that he is named as "Walt Disney", even though his last name was not expressly said that way. So yeah, the latest author before Isaac is the real Walt Disney according to Wiki.

Actually, it was confirmed by Adam on Twitter

    • If Walt Disney in the show was an Author, it already alters his real life. So, we don't know where he's from, because the show could've easily altered his whole life. Until we don't know where he's from in the show, I suggest not putting Chicago.

      Agree

    • But wasn't he a writer? He wrote scripts, and I'm pretty sure he wrote books too.

    • The Great Sorcerer meant Author, Walt Disney wasn't an Author in the real world and was in OUAT.

    • Agreed with TGS.

Walt Disney (real life) can’t translate to Walt Disney (OUAT), given there’s room for variability.
