H y p o t h e t i c a l–Please don't hurt me if you love CS but don't love Alice ! ! ! !
So I've seen it around, some as fanfics and others as...plot misunderstandings. But I thought it'd be interesting to formulate a story if Alice were Emma & Killian's child. Rose kinda looks like them too so I mean...
This is how my...frankly tragic story goes (which I'm considering through what the writers had to work with in season seven, so one episode of Emma): Emma and Killian have a child. They name her Alice, not because of Killian's mother or anything, just because. They raise her for about 10 years (so they don't miss out completely of course), and she gets abducted by none other than...Gothel (like Tangled???). Then Gothel uh...wipes Alice's memories of them or something, while she poisons Emma and Killian so they can't really get to her, or stay together (oops). ALTERNATIVELY, Alice gets abducted when she's even smaller! Like 2 years old! Then the rest of season seven happens, and Emma just happens to be phonecalling Killian to talk, and they use their cellphones for other things (basically, she's offscreen, but still exists and is uh...trying to cure eachother).
I feel like Alice was intended to be Hook and Emma's daughter before Jennifer Morrison declined to renew her contract, so I've actually spent a lot of time devising what changes might have been made.
Yours would definitely work. In this version of the storyline, Gothel would probably kidnap Alice as a potential Guardian and either A) find another way to escape the tower, or B) never get locked in there in the first place.
Alternatively, we could keep some of what really happened -- after Gothel locks Alice up, Hook and Emma manage to sneak in and visit her on occasion. Hook could even have a similar thing with Captain Ahab which results in him and Emma both getting poisoned. I could see Hook leaving the Resistance to find a cure while Emma sticks around with Henry. Hook would still be around, just not directly interacting cuz. Y'know. He can't stand within ten feet of Emma. The curse, then, would keep the poison from working, but Emma, Hook, and Alice don't remember that they're family.
The only question is, when does this happen relative to the Resistance? Because obviously Alice had already escaped and traveled realms when Henry first showed up. But, theoretically, Emma and Hook would have come to the NEF with Regina sometime around 702. That doesn't give her much time to escape and travel the realms, so she would be more Rapunzel-y than Alice-y. Maybe she would have been Rapunzel? And Alice and Tremaine would have been something else?
I actually thought Alice might be their daughter when Rose was cast. I wouldn't want her to be separated from her parents, but the first storyline sounds really interesting. But maybe without CS being poisoned, just Alice being lost.
I thought this possiblity was alluded to kind of early, with the whole Hook 1.0/Regina argument early on... Where Hook wasn't telling Henry something about Emma back home, and he said that if Henry knew that he pretty much would drop everything and come back home... I was never really sold on the pregnancy announcement being the real reason.
I kept wishing they would bring this back into play with the finale when the cancellation was announced- but now with all the call sheet mess, I don't foresee that happening- but who knows...
If Emma and Killian'a child (Alice) was stolen by Gothel (like in the movie) and Gothel takes her to wonderland where time moves fast and they live in a tower. Emma and Killian go searching for Alice but Gothel poisons Killian's heart and captures Emma and puts her in the tower. That leaves Killian looking for help, Alice staying away from her dad, abd Emma captured. Killian is Rogers, Alice is Tilly, amd Emma is Eloise Gardener (with a different name), the missing girl.
Same kind of plot without the wish realm plus Emma and Killian's relationship redeveloping.
Kinda sad something like this didn't happen; it would have made Rumple (Weaver) & Hook moments from The Guardian and Leaving Storybrooke infinitely more meaningful (not that they weren't, but it would have felt a lot more). They could still have the final scene with Emma & Hook, and just cut out...Wish Hook!
i dunno about everyone else but i always thought, alice would be an adult hope trapped in the past 5yrs after s6finale, then like 9months later as we saw in s7finale, like along with regalbeliever and goldennook were in s7premiere. i mean, it looked so obvs as of how alice was acting around henry in the premiere. i dunno why it just clicked to me that way. tho still wished captaincrocodile got that closure, goldennook did but regardless. i bawled my eyes out once again with that scene.
