All the 7B episodes have been ok so far (except perhaps 7x12), but this one.............. I don't know. It just feel off
In the flashbacks, Henry is acting like a lunatic and he is trying to kill a dragon to be worthy of Cinderella? Are you for real? What kind of mindset is that? I would understand it if Henry was a EF character, but he was born in our world. He lived a year in NY. And he thinks he has to slay a dragon to be worthy of a woman? Are you serious? Who came up with this? How come season 1 Henry was more mature than adult Henry? At the end, Henry had epiphany and realized you don't have to slay a dragon or steal a cursed ring to make a woman love you. What a surprise......
I think this flashback was a waste of time because it was pretty obvious where this was going. It just felt nonsensical.
Also, the placement of the episode was terrible because 7x15 and 7x17 storylines are about the coven and the Candy Killer. We are reaching the climax of the Candy Killer arc and 7x16 flashback had nothing to do with it
I thought that at least Gothel would appear in the ship and take the ring, since she seems to be collecting magical items like the amulet and the hook. But nope. Not even that.
The flashback could have been about Jack and Henry in an adventure in the EF2 and maybe even fighting one of the coven witches because Henry wanted to be worthy of Cinderella.
About the present day storyline, there nothing much to say. It was (a lot) more interesting than the flashback and I think it was fine.
