  • I know you probably had no malicious intent but I must ask you, friendly and politely, not to accuse other users of lying, like you do here, here and here. Aine may simply be misremembering things (every person does that, it is part of being human) or she could simply have misunderstood something. Thank you.

I'm sorry but I fail to see how it is rude, or illegal, to accuse someone of lying, especially when it happens multiple times. Our rules and policies do not say we can't call out someone when this person is lying. I don't see why I should get a warning, even if it is friendly and polite, for calling someone's attidude. Especially when the attitude is proven faulty.

As for the excuse of misremembering... Well, when you give a serious look at the discussion, you can see that's not a case of misremembering things - or even misunderstood. That was clearly the attempt to put some words and meaning to back up a certain point, when episodes say nothing of that kind. To me, it is more a case of manipulation of the dialogues. But, not important, we may not have the same understanding.

But yeah, I admit, I may sound... harsh in this discussion. But again, if you look at the discussion, it is against a clear defense of a domestic abuse case... And personally, that's not a topic that I am joking about or taking lightly. That's serious, and I don't really accept that someone may defend that.

      Hope you can understand.

    • Trust me, I completely understand that the issue upset you and I appreciate that you take a clear stand against domestic abuse. This is not about your opinions, it is about how you express them. Other users have been admonished in the past for accusing others of lying and I can't make an exception for you.

If there had been solid proof that Aine was lying, it might have been acceptable to call her out on it, but it is pretty common to misremember or misinterpret details and elements from fictional stories. So if you feel that her descriptions don't check out, it is better to point out that this is not what happened and is not what the character did/said, and remind her what actually happened; you could even link to the scene on YouTube or add a transcript. I don't even mind if you sound a little harsh, as long as you follow the site rules. I hope that clears things up.

    • It has now come to my attention that you have made other, similar comments earlier this months. Here you accuse another user of making things up - someone asks the user if he can show them a video he is referring to, and you write "If it exists... x)". Unless you have proof that the user is making things up, that kind of behavior is not acceptable. Here you continue to accuse the user of lying. Also, when he explains that he was wrong about the video, you rub it in his face and make fun of him by saying "What a surprise ^^ I'd lie if I said I was not expecting it x)". Then, to top it off, you continue to make fun of the user here by saying "you should stop assuming stuff you obviously do not know, and start giving us reasons to believe this thread was not made for nothing x)".

Then there is your behavior when it comes to another user: Here, here and here you accuse the user of lying. I've also had to warn you twice about comments where you pick on said user (as seen here and here) and treat her with disrespect.

These last few months, I've had to block several other users for repeated transgressions and rude comments, and I can't make an exception when it comes to you, that would be immoral. For your repeated transgressions, you have been blocked for one week. Please learn from this.

    • Again: Please do not accuse other users of lying unless you have proof that they are. Here, in a discussion about Season Seven, CoolDudeAl says "What is and isn't too spoilery is not an executive decision you alone get to decide. If we need to then start a thread and see how people feel." Instead of simply explaining yourself, you respond by accusing him of lying, saying "Okay, first of all, no need to lie and pretend that I decided that it was too spoilery. I'm not the one who first deleted the call sheets from the forums, because they were too spoilery."

CDA was talking about the Season Seven article, he wasn't talking about the wiki in general. Also, he may not have known why the call sheets were removed from the forums in the first place or the extent of it (what he says here suggests as much; he says, "The only one deleted was a person themselves deciding what they posted was too spoilery. No one else had complained or told them to take it down". Now if I missed something else that was removed, I don't know.) This is the third time in three months that you accuse a fellow user of lying and this has to stop (and yes, accusing people of lying when you have no good reason to is considered rude). If there is a fourth time, I will have no choice but to block you again, so please don't let it come to that. Thank you.
