  • Just wanted to see what people think about these new versions VS the old versions.

    So far we have:

    Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701)

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701)

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701)

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703)

    Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701)

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701)

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701)

    Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701)

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707)

    Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703)

    Jack (213) VS Jack (708)

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712)

Robin Hood (219) VS Robin (710)

    Gretel (109) VS Gretel (715)

    Hansel (109) VS Hansel/Jack (708)

    Woodcutter (109) VS Ivo (717)

Maleficent (102) VS Unnamed Dragon (721)

    Aurora (201) VS Princess (721)

Phillip (201) VS Handsome Prince (721)

I will add more as their episodes air, since this is General Discussion. As a side note, I am just listing the first episode the character appeared. Robin Hood (219) is for Sean's Robin Hood (which was first played by Tom Ellis in Season 2).

    • I have a prediction: nostalgia and short erm exposure might prevent a fair comparison.

      As of 7x01:

I'll end up choosing the one we see most of because they'll get more time to develop. I'd pretty much always choose more well-developed characters over one-offs. Though, 603's Lady Tremaine was a hoot! XD And I'll choose the first FGM over the second only because the actress had a greater presence besides being short-lived.

I'll say both Alice's will likely be well developed and I'd say they both have something unique to them. If Alice 2.0 somehow gets shoddy treatment, then that will change.

I bolded those I thought were better.

It’s hard as we’ve only been introduced to these characters.

I thought the Fairy Godmother from season 1 did more with less.

Right now, I’d say the season 6 Lady Tremaine is better, but I have a feeling as this season progresses the characters will get improve. I like Drizella more than the other stepsisters because of Adelaide Kane.

Alice was nice in OUATIW, but I’m more interested with the new one and whatever plot she plays in Season 7.

The two Cinderella’s both have their pros and cons, so I couldn’t choose.

    • I've been a fan of Dania Ramirez for years, so I'm always going to be biased towards her. I love Jacinda, and I'm looking forward to getting to see her interpretation of Cinderella more. That said, I do like the Cinderella of Seasons 1-6, but it's rather disappointing that such an iconic fairytale character didn't get much focus.

As for Lady Tremaine, I gotta say 6x03's was way better. I loved everything about her, and I'm sorry but I just do not enjoy Gabrielle Anwar's portrayal so far. Hopefully she'll grow on me, but I must admit that, for an episodic role, Lisa Banes set the bar pretty high.

Tisbe of course means absolutely nothing to me, but I did enjoy Clorinda. I'm also enjoying Drizella though, so I think it's too soon to judge. Emma Rigby as Anastasia trumps all of them though, regardless of whether she is an actual stepsister to Cinderella or not.

      Rose Reynolds is #NotMyAlice.

Not much to say about the "Prince" as I'm pretty indifferent to all three (even Henry, lol), and as for the Fairy Godmother, I loved the twist in 1x04 with Rumple killing and taking her role. However, this made me hate Tremaine killing her in 7x01. It was okay killing the Fairy Godmother the first time - cool twist - but a second time... She's such an iconic character, and since they're doing another Cinderella iteration she should've been an actual character this time.

Of the new character introduced in 7.01, only Alice and Drizella impressed me. As for the Fairy Godmother, both versions were rather pathetic. Am I supposed to judge them based on their deaths?

    • Yep, I expect that opinions will change as we get more info on the new characters. Just thought I'd start the thread earlier rather than later. Obviously we will also get more "repeat" characters as the season goes on as well to discuss. Also, I probably didn't explain this well, but part of the idea for this thread was to talk about choices they make between the two versions of the characters.

For example, some similarities so far:

Both Cinderella's wear a blue dress and glass slippers to the ball.

Both Lady Tremaine's use a cane (Gabrielle's has one at the ball, although I don't think she had it in other scenes).

Both Fairy Godmother's are killed by an antagonist using magic, and the wand is then taken by the antagonist.

      Some differences so far:

Jessy's Cinderella wants to marry the Prince, Dania's Cinderella wants to kill the Prince.

Sophie's Alice seems to like Wonderland, Rose's Alice seems to not like it.

Clorinda and Tisbe both attend the ball, only Drizella attends the ball (at least as far as we know so far).

Feel free to add other things you noticed or comment on whether you like the things they are keeping the same and the things they are making different, or dislike them.

Sure, or who you thought played the part better, although I know neither part is very big so far.

Ok.... then I will judge the Fairy Godmothers based on their deaths. The new one in 7.01 had the better death, since it showcased how inept she was. That poor excuse of a Fairy Godmother was drugged, and had her wings cut off, before turning into dust.

As of right know, the only ones I can say for sure I like more are Cinderella II, Henry and Alice I. It's too early to tell for the others. However, I think I'm going to like Lady Tremaine II better than Lady Tremaine I since she will be more developed. I have no opinion on either FGM.

FGM could get more development too, since we didn't actually see her giving Cinderella the dress, etc.

    • Alright, well, I'm going to add the Rapunzel stuff now, since it seems nearly confirmed, given the end of 703 along with what Emma Booth told a fan.

    • This is going to be tough to decide for myself since regardless of if I prefer one character over the other, I actually love all of them lol. I like that there are limitless possibilities of how to interpret a character of the same name from the same fairytale. My picks are in bold.

Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - Both Cinderellas have their good points. Ashley definitely stepped up her game when she wasn't afraid of possibly shooting Tremaine in order to protect Clorinda. The first Cinderella had a lot of guts in taking that first step to changing her life and I liked how her happy ending came about. It was the traditional rags to riches fairytale. Usually I don't go for that type of story but there was a satisfaction about seeing someone who started out low and got true love, a new family, and a new lease on life. Cinderella in S7 does have echoes of Snow White and Emma combined, but she has a dynamic that is different from her predecessors due to how her life circumstances differed from Snow and Emma's.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - The first Tremaine was very much like the Disney version, and the writers took it a step further to demonstrate her cruelty by making her stab Cinderella. :o That kind of action is very much something I could see the Disney Tremaine doing as well. She's evil and spiteful because she believes herself entitled to a fancy, comfortable life once her daughters marry into royalty. But Tremaine in S7 is the one I like best so far. She has an edge to her that emulates parts of both the old Regina/Evil Queen, Cora and even a little bit of Fiona combined, while still being her own individual character rather than a carbon copy of several characters.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - I liked Clorinda because she wasn't the evil stepsister, but she almost did when she turned against Ashley after believing Jacob had died because of her. It was nice that she paved her own path in life by seeking love despite that her mother was trying to force her to attract a prince. I have to say I don't have much of an opinion of Drizella right now. She just seems like her mother's lackey and almost like she is trying to be tough and b*tchy both as an expectation of how she should act for her mother and for herself, maybe. I need to see more of her character to get a better grasp on who she is.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - Definitely the Red Queen for me! Emma Rigby made a lasting impression as Anastasia on Wonderland, which is why I still feel down whenever I think about the fact OUAT never finished up the Will and Ana plotline. The Wonderland ending offered a clue about their eventual happy ending, but I hated that Ana's absence from Will's life in S4 was never wrapped up.

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - This choice is going to kill me lol. Alice from Wonderland had just enough of femininity and bada**ery that she had a good balance of both without seeming like a damsel with dreams in her head or completely over the top with her ability to stand up and defend herself (both verbally and physically). Sophie Lowe is immortalized as the Alice that pops up into my mind whenever I think about Alice in Wonderland. That being said, Alice from S7 is rougher around the edges in a way that made me curious about her right from the get-go. Need to see more of her...

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - In terms of looking glamorous, FG from S1 definitely looked the part of a FG, but she was forgettable as a character due to how quickly she was killed. FG from S7 surprised me because I wasn't aware that the fairies of OUAT could get old, or that their wings could be clipped by a non-fairy... RIP. :(

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - Thomas was really the picture of an almost perfect prince, lol. He was good with Ella and it was so sweet to see him with Alex. I would have liked to see more character development from him other than a few one off lines though. That's why I chose Henry. Yes, he's the main character lol but also I am invested in his love story with Cinderella and being able to see it unfold slowly through various episodes instead of it being established in one episode like with Thomas and Ella.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - I'm gonna go with S3 Rapunzel for now since S7 Rapunzel has yet to be seen. I was excited to see Rapunzel in S3, but I stand by my opinion that the writers botched the character who had potential. For the episode, I feel it would have been more cohesive had she had some relevancy in present day Storybrooke, in addition to the flashback. Otherwise it felt really disjointed as a story for that episode.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - The witch is interesting and I hope to see more of her. I like that she seems to have more power over Victoria than Victoria wants to believe.

Yes, Tremaine as Rapunzel and Witch as Gothel are unconfirmed, but the Red Queen (Anastasia) is most definitly an allusion to a stepsister of Cinderella. Even if her stepsister who married the prince was named Sally Mae, Red Queen Ana is definitly alluding to an ugly stepsister.

    • Definitly getting some more differences now. Alice being a lesbian means she won't end up with a male genie this time. From last week, one of the stepsisters being dead is a different take as well. Besides some personality differences we are seeing from all the characters.

    • Anyone else have any other points they'd like to point out?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • 'Cinderella (701) '- Jesse Schram was great, but obviously we've had more time and development for the new Cinderella, who I'm loving. Love her arc as a struggling single mother Jacinda, very relatable for lots of people out there. I also prefer her dress (I know it has nothing to do with the character, but it's so much nicer).

Lady Tremaine (701) - I really don't know why she gets so much hate. I love her so much. I think people are comparing her to Regina Mills, because of their appearance in the real world, but they're different. She's a villain, but she's also a mother who just want's her daughter back, which is really tragic.

Drizella (701) - I don't think an explanation is needed.

Red Queen (Wonderland) - I miss her! I am intigued by what they're gonna do with the new Anastasia, but I miss the Red Queen. (Why did Will Scarlet reappear in Storybrooke, if they weren't gonna reintroduce Anastasia 😠)

Alice (701) - This Alice is batty as hell and I'm here for it.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - They both died, WTH. We're focusing on the Cinderella mythos, so I thought at least we get a new fgm with development (she's a vital part of the story), but they killed her too! I have no feeling to either of them.

Henry Mills (701) - We've seen Henry grow before our eyes.

(Do Ursula (Sea Witch) and Ursula (Deity) count?)

While they are versions of the Sea Witch (as is Regina, since she disguised herself as Ursula) from The Little Mermaid, I'm only including characters that are in this reboot/sequel. But yes, we had multiple characters that portrayed the same character before, like Aurora and her mother Briar Rose (although we never actually saw Briar Rose).

    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - For the obvious reasons I like the new one better, like others stated before. I enjoyed the prince-twist and am actually waiting for another look at that backstory, because I hope that it's not just "he killed the father" but something more complicated than that. I am warming up to Jacinda faster than to Cinderella though.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - I loved the one-off Lady Tremaine in Season 6, but as with CInderella the depth of a character just changes things and makes them more relatable or enjoyable. I expected a very different Lady Tremaine but I'm all for Gabrielle Anwar's very subtle arrogance and carelessness towards Drizella.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - Best addition this season. Please keep Adelaide around. Nothing else to say.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - For now it will be the Red Queen, because 1. I loved the spin-off with all of my heart, 2. I had always hoped they would reveal her as the actual step-sister of one of our Cinderellas, 3. we haven't seen the new Anastasia (although her story sounds intriguing).

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - I heavily disliked Alice's first appearance in 701 but have come to enjoy her a lot since 704. That focus on her was needed for me to kind of GET her. I loved Wonderland's Alice and the decision was tough, but I'm currently having too much fun with crazy funny Alice to not pick her. Excited to see her backstory.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - I'm simply basing this on their looks, which I liked better on the second one with the like silvery appearance etc. Otherwise I have no preference and I was actually disappointed that they did go with a FGM (and killing her) again, as I had hoped they'd do the Grimm version with the tree and the grave of Cinderella's mother.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - Can't explain this. I mean.. it's Henry.

Rapunzel (314) VS (Lady Tremaine)/Rapunzel (701) - I'm not yet ready to accept that Lady Tremaine is going to be Rapunzel, although I would like the twist! As of now I choose thone from Season 3 because I liked the casting choice and was sad to see she was such a small character. I am very happy they're using their reboot to re-do Rapunzel. Let's see what comes of it.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - Without any doubt. Emma Booth is making me so happy. Unlike my opinion on the Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel thing, with the Witch I am very sure about her being Mother Gothel and I love what they did with her until now. Can't wait to see a looooot more.

    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - Dania Ramierz is just fabulous in the role, even though Storybrooke Ashley had her moments we only ever merely had 2 Episodes from her Tale and with the increased focus on Cinderella and Jacinda in S7 its hard not to prefer her.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - Gabrielle Anwar is just glorious in the role, despite me loving the Disney rendition we had in S6 it falls into the similar category we had with Ashley From 1-6. We had 1 Episode with the Actress portraying her devilish side, giving me flashbacks to Cruella and in her first introduction she was a mere background character. I have to go with the one with more development, especially with everything coming out as of 7x08.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - Does anything need to be said?

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - Nobody will ever replace Emma Rigby <3

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - Earlier in the season I was like oh shit, she's the one recurring character whos going to get the limited screentime but after the last 3-4 episodes shes sored further than most of the main cast. I am loving her and Drizella and find it odd as to why they both got Recurring statuses along with Gothel and Tiana got upgraded?

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - A tie, unless 7x01 FG returns for development I cannot choose a favorite solely upon the death scenes, saying this though 7x01 had a superior death scene but probably due to the better graphics.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - More Development and we're more inclined to root for Henry after 7 seasons.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - Can't really choose yet until we see 'One Little Tear' and how the Rapunzel tale will differ and possibly be superior. Until then they remain tied.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) - For a Hook Centric I was actually intrigued for once, his centrics usually bore me even his first one in S7 "A Pirates Life" bored me but this one was actually good and I'm glad he's connected to Alice's plot and Gothel's as his usualy plotlines become stale whereas Charming's take felt forced and was only used as filler for S3. It ultimately did nothing for S3 as a whole other than drop the hint of Frozen when he said "Let it go".

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - Even though Gothel is glorious in every aspect is there any real comparison? We had 2 seconds of Screentime of the comparison so Gothel ultimately wins.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) - Unless S7 Jack gets more development I prefer S2 Jack, I loved the tragic death she had when Charming left her and loved her bad assery, as of right now Jack comes off as a Jock in S7 and until we get his possible backstory, which I think we might then I don't see myself choosing him over S2.

Trying not to offend Dania's work. but your opinion must be that of 0,1% of the viewers XD Not that it is less valid, don't get me wrong. It's just that Dania is probably one of the least favorite cast members the show's had over its 7 seasons.

      That said, my votes:

Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - I really liked the 1st Ella's episodes, and sadly I don't care much for the new Ella, so...

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - I'll probably change my mind once we see Vic's backstory, but Lisa Banes did an incredible job, so I miss her in the role. She could have been the S7 Tremaine, I'd love that.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - Well, Drizzy rules OUAT

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - Yet to truly meet new Ana, but Emma Rigby is hard to top

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - Tie. Rose is divine, but I really really enjoyed Sophie's acting. I'd watch a whole season with the two Alices.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - Both are too minor, but the first had more potential with the role her wand played so... Kind of more interesting.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - Both the Prince and Henry are nice. I'm in love with Andrew, really, and that Liam guy portrayed the prince nicely in his short appearance. Hope he reappears.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - If she is indeed Rapunzel, which is very likely, then she will be better

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) - I like Tangled and Colin worked well as Flynn. Also, I can't describe how happy I am to enjoy Colin this season. I never appreciated his well-done work before because I couldn't care less about Hook, but this new Hook/Rogers is giving him a chance to do more than being there for Emma, so I am watching Colin's scenes with pleasure for the first time this season.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - My answer is probably not the most popular here, but that fear thing was quite scary. I'm still not convinced that Gothel gives me the feeling I'd wish from a villain

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) - Yet to see how Nick plays into the story. For now, I prefer Jacqueline

I agree about Gothel, she doesn’t seem that compelling of a villain from what we’ve seen so far. This show has set a high standard for itself when it comes to its villains.

Added Jack! I knew they would redo him as a male this season!

I quite like him and was pleasantly surprised, that he turned out to be Jack the Giant Killer.

Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - seriously, S7's Cinderella is so unlikable

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - still not much of a fan, but she is starting to show more depth

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - can Drizella/Ivy get she own show?

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - she was the tolerable thing about the spinoff

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - she is way quirkier

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - she had the better death

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - only choice who received character development

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - Meegan Warner did a good job as fake Rapunzel

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) - duh, it is Hook!

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - this was an intriguing twist on the story

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) - such a pleasant surprise

    • Anyone have anything they'd like to change or add? I'm really curious how people feel now that things have gotten much more fleshed out for many of the characters.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • - This Rapunzel is more interesting than the last one.

      - I don’t like the new Mother Gothel, I hope we understand her motives soon.

      - The new Lady Tremaine grew on me and she’s better than the season six version IMO now that she has personality.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Bolded winners based on everyone's votes, and also added commentary about what I noticed about the votes.

Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - Both Cinderella's seemed liked overall, but new wins out because of more time spent with her.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - Like Cinderella, both Tremaine's seemed liked overall, but new wins out because of more time spent with her.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - Drizella beat Season 6's stepsisters by a mile, for almost everyone.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - Almost everyone loves the Red Queen, although to be fair, many votes were cast prior to this season's Ana being introduced, so I'm kind of curious if people feel any differently now.

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - New Alice is winning, but many still stated they liked Wonderland's Alice as well. Overall, I think both versions of Alice are very well liked by nearly everyone.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - Tied, and many people stated it was hard to judge them at all, given the lack of screen time, or said they had no feeling toward either one.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - New version (specifically Henry) totally beat Thomas, which it looks like is more about everyone's strong connection to Henry, than anything wrong with Thomas. Considering Henry has 7 seasons of being a main character, I can't blame anyone.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - A tighter race than most of these, but Rapunzel Tremaine is edging out a win.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) - Hook is totally beating Charming, although I wish we had had a proper Flynn Rider, as he would probably beat both. I'm also debating whether I should add Marcus to this as well. He is Rapunzel's prince in that he is romantically attached to her and the father of her children, something both Charming and Hook lacked with their Rapunzel's (although Hook did sleep with fake Rapunzel).

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - People prefer Gothel, but not by a lot, as Rapunzel's fear was still chosen by some.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) - Many people haven't voted yet for this, but so far it is pretty much an even split.

So overall, the new versions of the characters seem to be doing a decent job winning people over, although votes on Rapunzel, her prince, her witch, and Jack are a little low, so I would love more people to tell me what they think of them. Also, now that you have seen this season's Ana, what do you think?

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • The Red Queen Anastasia will still be my favorite.

As for Jack, the new one seems more likable.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701)

      Jacinda is grotesque.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701)

I actually like both of them tbh.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701)

Clorinda and Tisbe weren't bad, but I love Drizella.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703)

Even though we haven't seen a lot of Anastasia yet (she seems pretty cool), Red Queen is love, Red Queen is life.

      Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701)

I like both actually. They're both talented.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701)

      meh.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701)

      I love new Henry.

Rapunzel (314) VS  Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) They told the first Rapunzel story in a stupid way.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707)

      meh.

      Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703)

the fear plot was stupid, and I really like Gothel.

      Jack (213) VS Jack (708)

Don't mind new Jack (but we haven't seen enough of him), but the twist with old Jack was really cool.

    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - my fav character this season, and I really didn't liked Ashley

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - again one of my fav this season

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - don't like her, but I can't even remember much about Clorinda or Tisbe

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - my ultimate favourite character in the whole Once Upon A Time franchise

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) - I like Tilly, but somehow I didn't liked her portrayal of Alice in the forest. The spin-off's Alice however was perfection

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) - Always wanted to see more of her

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - I think it's only natural since we follow Henry since season 1

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - so much better take on Rapunzel

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707)

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - as before, better story

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) - the new Jack is boring and I really don't like the actor

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712) - loved every scene with Blind Witch

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • There isn’t enough of the Blind Witch in S7 to make a comparison, but the one scene with her in 712 was very well done so right now they’re tied for me.

    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - I absolutely love Ashley, and for her two centrics she got, I was very convinced of a Cinderella story. I really can't say the same for the new one.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - This was a very hard decision, but I chose the first because she really was the wicked stepmother. Belfry was wicked too, but I feel her character started off too forced (but developed naturally starting with One Little Tear).

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - Drizella is great lol. Clorinda was cool I guess, but I'm really not believing that she would fake bullying Ella for that long. Drizella has been developed well, and her story makes a fair amount of sense.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - Red Queen is fantastic. Ana's pretty wholesome too, but Emma Rigby's Ana takes the cake.

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) I didn't really watch too much of Wonderland, but from what I've seen, that Alice was a bit wooden. I really like Tilly, and she's very refreshing and new.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) I liked the original- the one we very briefly saw was too...eh. She didn't seem very fairy like.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) As I've stated, I quite liked the original way Once did the Cinderella story, and as much as I like Henry, I'm not the biggest fan of their relationship.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) Season 7 Rapunzel has been pretty cool. It would have been nice to have another episode though to really show Rapunzel's transition into a tyrant (which we really never see).

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) I'm pretty indifferent towards this, but I just didn't like 707's flashback for...obvious reasons.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) Gothel is pretty cool to me, except for uh...well that. The manifestation really never appealed to me.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) I'm pretty indifferent, but I thought that Jacqueline was a cool twist.

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712) Hilda is actually pretty promising, but I really loved the original.

    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - Ashley was nice while Jacinda is annoying (except in 701)

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - The first one was great but Gabrielle was really amazing !

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701) - Again I liked the first stepsisters but Drizella's story was well developped.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703) - I wish we had more of Clorinda and Tisbe.

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701) I like Tilly but not Alice... Anyway the first one was as annoying as Jacinda.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) The first version was really good, killing her once again seemed a bit forced.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) Cinderella aiming to kill the Prince was brilliant ! Hope we'll learn more about him and his family.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) First iteration was more original. Her story was better developped though it only lasted one episode and she didn't randomly leave her tower on her own.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) I prefered the fear-plot rather than the 707 one.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) Rapunzel's fear was great and unexpected but Gothel and her coven-plot are better.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708) The second iteration barely had two scenes in NEF.

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712) I hope we'll see more of Hilda because she was great (though the references to Hansel and Gretel were way to obvious) but the first Blind Witch is beyond comparison.

    • Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701) - Ashley just embodied the storyline better

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) -   the original was good, but Victory sold the backstory of WHY she resented Ella

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701)-  This was a no brainer- Ivy is fierce

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703)- I think all three of these have been misses so far, maybe Anastasia will pull something out but she's just so 'mousy'

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701)-  I like her character- like she had spent a little TOO much time in Wonderland (We're all mad here...)

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701)- both were gone before any character developed but the first was more true to story I thought

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701) - I liked Thomas, however I think it only makes sense that Henry be with a Cinderella as he a Prince Charming (being that Emma, who is in essence Emma Charming [gave herself the surname Swan], since she never married Neal )

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701)- Victoria as Tremaine is great, as Rapunzel good, but the original was better... too many alternate identities for one person was overwhelming at best.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) - this one I am not referring to Belfrey or Gothel as Rapunzel, but Alice- after all Alice is now the princess trapped in the tower and most girls' first Prince Charming is their daddies.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703)- still not sure where she's going or why but Gothel is GOOD

Jack (213) VS Jack (708)- although I am anticipating my mind being changed on this in coming episodes, if rumours are true

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712) - I LOVED the first blind witch- her singsong voice was creepy and yet to little ears I am sure would be as alluring as gingerbread- Hilda is more like the creepy cat lady who runs the bakery but whose house NO ONE trick-or-treats at.

As i said before, Dania's Cinderella is weaker than Jessy's Cinderella because Jessy had two solid centric episodes, even though she is only a guest star and had literally 4 appearances in the show. We never had a classic Cinderella storyline in S7, showing how Rapunzel became Lady Tremaine and her changes after Ana's death, and the ball, the Fairy Godmother, etc.

I mean what happened before the ball, because we had the ball in 701. I mean Ella's interactions with the FG, what triggered her revenge against the Prince, what happened before Henry arrived the NEF, etc.

It's funny, because the 721 scene was more similar to the Disney movie than what we have seen previously of the Sleeping Beauty story. It was: a brunette prince throws his sword at a dragon, killing it, and then wakes up a blonde princess with his kiss. Originally, we had: a blonde woman throws her sword at a dragon, killing it. A few days later, she goes through a portal, where a brunette prince wakes up a brunette princess, while his Asian friend watches.

    • Anyone else have any final thoughts on this? Overall, I was happy with the new iterations of the characters. I thought it allowed for some interesting fleshing out of some stories and characters that didn't get much time in Seasons 1 - 6.

    • I loved what they did with the second iteations of the Cinderella characters, but I wish they developed more on the Cinderella story. Both the first and second iteraton had good parts (first iteration - Cindy's deal with Rumple, second iteration - Cindy on a motorbike going to kill the prince), but we needed more. The second iteration was more of a sequel, to the stoy, than a retelling.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701): One of the best characters this show ever made

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701): She is awesome

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703): I love the Red Queen... One of my favorite characters

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701): The other Alice was so boring... That one is a bit crazy and that's awesome

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701): Whatever

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701): I like Prince Thomas, but Henry gave the Prince a new perspective...

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701): Again, one of the best characters that ever showed up in the show. One Little Tear is one of my favorite episodes

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707): Colin O'Donoghue IS Flynn Rider

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703): Gothel is awesome!!

Jack (213) VS Jack (708): I like both of them, but Nick is slightly better

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712): I love the first BW. She is funny XD

Robin Hood (219) VS Robin (710): Both of them are awesome! I can't choose ^^

Gretel (109) VS Gretel (715): New Gretel is nice

Hansel (109) VS Hansel/Jack (708): Nick is cool

Woodcutter (109) VS Ivo (717): Ivo is cool... But he shouldn't treat Zelena in that way

Maleficent (102) VS Unnamed Dragon (721): I love the not so bad Maleficent XD

Aurora (201) VS Princess (721): I don't like Aurora that much, but at least she is a little bit important

Phillip (201) VS Handsome Prince (721): Phillip is okay

      So far we have:

      Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701)

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701): Lisa Banes was definitely a better Lady Tremaine from Disney, but I loved Gabrielle's take on her.

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701): Duh :P

Clorinda or Tisbe (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703): Too hard to choose! I really liked Clorinda. Even though she looks more like Drizella, she was a perfect Anastasia imoz

Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701): I loved Sophie Lowe but Rose’s Alice was just so cute and likeable.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701): Only because she was around a tiny bit longer and I loved her scene.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701)

      Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701)

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707)

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703): Definitely! I loved Gothel.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708): Interesting take on the character.

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712): Hilda was more fleshed out than the original Blind Witch imo. The OG Blind Witch was more so just a fun character but Hilda got a cursed persona, a backstory with Zelena and was a member of the Coven.

Robin Hood (219) VS Robin (710)

      Gretel (109) VS Gretel (715)

      Hansel (109) VS Hansel/Jack (708)

      Woodcutter (109) VS Ivo (717)

Maleficent (102) VS Unnamed Dragon (721)

      Aurora (201) VS Princess (721)

Phillip (201) VS Handsome Prince (721)

I will add more as their episodes air, since this is General Discussion. As a side note, I am just listing the first episode the character appeared. Robin Hood (219) is for Sean's Robin Hood (which was first played by Tom Ellis in Season 2).

If I didn’t choose one, I haven’t made up my mind.

Briar Rose would probably be like Henry and the Prince from 701, counted together, as they are part of the same iteration. But we never actually saw Briar Rose, so...

And I don't think the Blind Witch from 102 would count, as she never actually filled the role of the Blind Witch from Hansel and Gretel, unlike the other two.

Yes, things like Ariel, Ursula, Elsa, Ingrid, Aurora, Briar Rose, and even more (Phillip was a one of Belle's beasts, for example), were both takes on the same character in various ways, but I didn't include them as they are from the same storybook, whereas Season 7 characters are from an entirely different storybook than Season 1 - 6.

Well, that's true, but then again Robin/Baby Hood isn't from a different storybook at all - she was born on Season 5. She has more relevance on Season 7 but she wasn't a new character. In any case, I think there should be two lists (one for S7 new iterations and one for S1-6 version of the same character in the same universe).

Yeah, the Robin's are a bit of a grey area, but I decided to include them, since she didn't fulfill the role of Robin Hood until she was in the NEF. People are welcome to discuss Season 1-6 iterations, although I believe many people have talked about those before on other threads.

    • Okay, let's answer this now that the season's over.

Cinderella (S1 - S6) vs. Cinderella (S7) - This truly saddens me because I wanted so much to love Dania Ramirez's Cinderella, but the writing was just so bad and her storyline was left feeling underdeveloped and incomplete. At least with Jessy Schram's Cinderella I loved both centric episodes and felt like we were told a complete story with the character.

Lady Tremaine (6x03) vs. Lady Tremaine (S7) - Lisa Banes was the perfect Lady Tremaine and made for a very memorable episodic villain. Though I came to like Season 7's Tremaine, Gabrielle Anwar never fully grew on me, and I liked her more for the Rapunzel aspect of her story.

Clorinda or Tisbe (6x03) vs. Drizella (S7) - Drizella was one of the best additions to Season 7, and Adelaide Kane put on a hell of a performance. I fell for the character instantly and fully enjoyed her until she departed.

Clorinda or Tisbe (6x03) vs. Red Queen (OUaTiW) vs. Anastasia (S7) - There's really no debate here, the Red Queen outsold in every way. Do I even need to explain myself?

Alice (OUaTiW) vs. Alice (S7) - This is a hard one because I love both of them, but I wound up loving Rose Reynolds a bit more. Easily the best part of Season 7 for me turned out to be the new iteration of Alice, from her dynamic with Rumplestiltskin to her love story with Robin, the character always had something interesting going on, and Rose Reynolds brought some much-needed energy into the show. That said, while Reynolds' took a more unhinged, batshit-crazy approach with her Alice, Sophie Lowe managed to successfully carry the short-lived spinoff with her own take on Alice: a badass, but still elegant, warrior who does not always get the credit she deserves from the rest of the fanbase.

Fairy Godmother (1x04) vs. Fairy Godmother (7x01) - Neither is particularly good, but I find 1x04's more memorable with it being such a shock that Rumplestiltskin murdered the iconic Fairy Godmother. When Lady Tremaine did it in 7x01, it just felt overdone and like a missed opportunity to finally make her into a real character.

Prince Thomas (S1 - S6) vs. Prince (7x01) and Henry Mills (S7) - Henry getting to be Cinderella's prince was a cool take, even if the storyline itself turned out to be a dud.

Rapunzel (3x14) vs. Rapunzel Tremaine (S7) - I love the twist with Rapunzel growing up to be Lady Tremaine. It was clever and felt very much like the old Once Upon a Time, which I really appreciated. I loved Meegan Warner, and it's because of the 7x09 backstory that I was finally able to appreciate Anwar's portrayal of the character in the present day.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (3x14) vs. Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (7x07) - They really learned nothing from all of the backlash over the Zelena/Marian/Robin fiasco of Season 4.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (3x14) vs. Witch/Mother Gothel (S7) - This is just me being petty because I absolutely despised Gothel. She falls among my least favorite characters of the entire series, and I spent all season just waiting for her storyline to finally be over.

Jack (2x13) vs. Jack (S7) - I like the twist with Jack being a woman, whereas Henry's underdeveloped bromance in the NEF did nothing for me.

Blind Witch (S1 & S5) vs. Hilda (S7) - Nothing but love for Emma Caulfield, both in 1x09, her stint in the Underworld in 5B, and of course her years as Anya Jenkins in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Meanwhile, I have zero memory of Season 7's iteration of the character.

Robin Hood (S2 - S6) vs. Robin (S7) - I hated the original Robin Hood and Outlaw Queen and was relieved when that storyline was finally put to rest. Meanwhile, despite not being sold on Tiera Skovbye's acting, I liked seeing the character's dynamic with Zelena and love story with Alice (and it helped that Rebecca Mader and Rose Reynolds were talented enough to carry the scenes on their own). Mad Archer was one of the best things to come from Season 7.

Gretel (1x09) vs. Gretel (S7) - I actually really liked 1x09 as an episode, and I remember wishing 7x15's flashbacks were focused on something else.

Hansel (1x09) vs. Hansel/Jack (S7) - My jaw literally dropped when Zelena burned his arms, so I'll give him points for that.

Woodcutter (1x09) VS Ivo (7x17) - His relationship (if you wanna call it that?) with Zelena felt random, but I was actually into it.

Cinderella (1x04) vs. Cinderella (Season 7) - As much as I like how the show did interesting twists to fairy tales, Cinderella/Ashley Boyd was the best. Her backstory was a bit more towards the classic version.

Prince Thomas (1x04) vs. Prince (7x01) vs. Henry Mills - Again the classic version.

As for the other, I don't know. To me, I think that Alice could have fallen in love with a guy instead of Robin. But that is my opinion.

We had a straight Alice on Wonderland. The fact that Season 7 Alice was queer was just one of the many ways they used to differenciate the characters. And honestly, given the source material, queer Alice probably makes more sense anyway.

    • Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701)

      Ariel (306) VS Ursula (411)

Aurora (201) VS Princess (721) VS Briar Rose (102)

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712)

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707) - Charming's friendship with Rapunzel was very sweet.

      Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701)

Clorinda (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703)

Daniel as Frankenstein's Monster (205) VS Gerhardt Frankenstein as Frankenstein's Monster (612) - It felt joyful and spooky to seeing him in action alot more than his counterpart. Like in the book, he was temporary terroizing the town and horse farm, and his death in the end gave me the true Frankenstein story feel. And best of all, he and Gerhardt were seperate different characters. Why Charming even said so saying Daniel was Whale's monster when telling others who Whale really is.

Elsa (322) VS Ingrid (402) - Not because of I like her best, but because she was mainly the traditional evil version before her demise. Elsa was more of a original character compared to the Snow Queen.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) VS Rumple as Fairy Godfather (104) - it was joyful to see this version before the imposter, Rumple, murdered her and took her place.

      Gretel (109) VS Gretel (715)

      Hansel (109) VS Hansel/Jack (708)

Jack (213) VS Hansel/Jack (708) - He may not have been Jack from the beginning (cause he took the identity), but he will have to do for being close enough as the tradional male version (until a possible heroic version for a revival) from the book.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701) - More thrilling to see her as a seprate character like s3 Rapunzel, instead of being one and the same. Her character was more Tremaine related and she was more entertaining when she was completely ruthless. Someone you can love to hate.

Maleficent (102) VS Unnamed Dragon (721)

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703) - I enjoyed the real version instead of the illusion (though the Manifestation was pretty dramatic). Though she would've had more potential.

Phillip (201) VS Handsome Prince (721)

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701)

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701) - More thrilling to see her as a seprate character like s6 Lady Tremaine, instead of being one and the same. And her character was so Rapunzel related.

Robin Hood (219) VS Robin (710)

Rumple as the Beast (112) VS Phillip as the Beast (211)

      Tisbe (603) VS Drizella (701)

Ursula (306) VS Ursula (4x11) Vs Regina as Ursula (306) - The s3 version has shown potential. And like her animated version, she proved to be somewhat ruthless when threatening Regina for impersonating her. Which is, in a way, what a true villain would do. We would've seen her true colors and form instead of statue.

      Woodcutter (109) VS Ivo (717)

    • Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701)-Come on, I love Wonderland but Tilly is just so much more fun in the role, about half of OG Alice being good is being able to act next to Michael Socha (who is just amazing).

Ariel (306) VS Ursula (411)-The story is pretty much equally good but Ariel is more fun than Urusla.

Aurora (201) VS Princess (721) VS Briar Rose (102)- Well duh, do I need to explain this?

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712)- This would be a tie but in the Underworld the BW is so much fun.

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707)- They just cared about the story in 707

Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701)- They are pretty much the same in quality.

Clorinda and Tisbe (6x03) VS Drizella (701)- Drizzy is would beat all the stepsisters and every single Cinderella character (minus Rumple) combined.

Clorinda (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703)- I mean the Red Queen wasn't a great adaptation of the wicked stepsister but she is so much better as a character.

Daniel as Frankenstein's Monster (205) VS Gerhardt Frankenstein as Frankenstein's Monster (212)- It was a more Frankenstein story.

Elsa (322) VS Ingrid (402)- It's really more one story where they adapt each other.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) VS Rumple as Fairy Godfather (104)- Hehehehe! The FG's have like no personality and Rumple has loads of it.

Gretel (109) VS Gretel (715)- New Gretel is more fun as a character than the original one.

Hansel (109) VS Hansel/Jack (708)- Jack is a more interesting character and does more than Hansel.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708)- I think Nick is a bit better of a character based on more appearances.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701)- Rapunzel Tremaines is much more developed than the original one and Gabrielle Anwar does a great job.

Maleficent (102) VS Unnamed Dragon (721)- Well duh, Mal is better than the unnamed dragon.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703)- I mean Gothel is a character.

Phillip (201) VS Handsome Prince (721)- Third obvious adaptation to win.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701)- When a character is cared about he is better than when he isn't.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701)- Exactly the same as Lady Tremaine.

Robin Hood (219) VS Robin (710)- I like them both equally, they are equally amazing.

Rumple as the Beast (112) VS Phillip as the Beast (211)- Rumple wins, Rumple always wins.

Ursula (306) VS Ursula (4x11) Vs Regina as Ursula (306)- I mean Ursula is really good but Regina is actually adapting the story and Lana milks it.

Woodcutter (109) VS Ivo (717)- Ivo spends time with Zelena which wins almost every contest.

    • Cinderella/Ashley Boyd (1x04 & 6x03) vs. Cinderella/Jacinda Vidrio (Season 7) - I would choose the former. There are traits that the latter has that are interesting, but I like the classic version of Cinderella.

Prince Thomas (1x04 & 6x03) vs. Prince (7x01) vs. Henry Mills - I would choose Thomas. He and his Ella had to deal with Rumpelstiltskin, be separated by the dark curse, and had to deal with Thomas's father before they got the chance to finally be parents.

Maleficent (1x02 and Season 4B) vs. the unnamed dragon (7x21) - Maleficent, because she's Maleficent. Enough said on that subject. Robin Hood (Season 2 - Season 5) vs. Robin Hood (Season 5 - Season 7) - The former is my choice. Part of me likes the relationship that Regina fell in with the Prince of Thieves.

Elsa (3x22 - Season 4A) vs Ingrid (Season 4A) - Elsa. Because until her death, Ingrid was mainly the villian.

      Hansel (1x09) vs Hansel (7x08)

      Gretel (1x09) vs. Gretel (7x15)

    • Updated list: Alice (Wonderland) VS Alice (701)-I really like both of them.

Ariel (306) VS Ursula (411)-I love Ariel!

Aurora (201) VS Princess (721) VS Briar Rose (102)- This one is obvious.

Blind Witch (109) VS Hilda (712)- The first Blind Witch is really funny XD

Charming as Rapunzel's Prince (314) VS Wish Hook as "Rapunzel's" Prince (707)- Despite the Marian 2.0 drama, Alice gave his character more depth.

Cinderella (104) VS Cinderella (701)- I really love Ashley, and I think Jacinda is one of the worst OUaT characters ever, so...

      Tisbe (6x03) VS Drizella (701)- Obvi <3

Clorinda (603) VS Red Queen (Wonderland) VS Anastasia (703)- One of my favourite characters.

Daniel as Frankenstein's Monster (205) VS Gerhardt Frankenstein as Frankenstein's Monster (212)- Not a big fan of either episode, but I'll go with Gerhardt simply because it was more traditional.

Elsa (322) VS Ingrid (402)- A really complex and well-written character.

Fairy Godmother (104) VS Fairy Godmother (701) VS Rumple as Fairy Godfather (104)- I think she was interesting, especially with her wand.

Gretel (109) VS Gretel (715)- Not sure about this one.

Hansel (109) VS Hansel/Jack (708)- Jansel is better in most ways.

Jack (213) VS Jack (708)- I like them both.

Lady Tremaine (603) VS Lady Tremaine (701)- I prefer Rapunzel Tremaine as a character, but the S6 Tremaine was sooo ruthless!

Maleficent (102) VS Unnamed Dragon (721)- Obviously.

Manifestation of Rapunzel's fear (314) VS Witch/Mother Gothel (703)- I really like Gothel's backstory, the Coven of the Eight and her interactions with Rapunzel/Victoria.

Phillip (201) VS Handsome Prince (721)- Duh.

Prince Thomas (104) VS Prince and Henry Mills (701)- He actually was Cinderella's love interest and the prince who organized the ball.

Rapunzel (314) VS Lady Tremaine/Rapunzel (701)- She's just better, that is. Although the first Rapunzel had lots of potential.

Robin Hood (219) VS Robin (710)- Both of them have interesting points.

Rumple as the Beast (112) VS Phillip as the Beast (211)- Rumbelle is my OTP <3

Ursula (306) VS Ursula (4x11) Vs Regina as Ursula (306)- The sea goddess was very interesting.

Woodcutter (109) VS Ivo (717)- I really like his relationship with Zelena.
