  • why di dthe queen not just give it to her in a feast or something?

because eating it is a choice.

but she could have not told her how it workes and told her to eat it. or glamour herself.

ok s(so i told myself first time i saw the episode) you have to know the cons of the apple while eating it. but emma dosent. so???

    • It was stated that the apple has to be taken willingly for it to work, so that's why Regina told Snow instead of tricking her. We saw Maleficent force the sleeping curse onto Aurora and Zelena force it onto Dorothy in later seasons, so maybe a more powerful version was made, but Regina was unaware of it.

    • When did Emma eat a sleeping curse? Regina tried to get her to, but Henry ended up eating it instead and knew what it would do. That doesn't prove or disprove the function.

I suspect the "must be willing" thing is specific to the Poisoned Apple. I seem to remember someone who read Regina Rising saying that it was poisoned before Regina learned about the Sleeping Curse from Maleficent (which raises the Sleeping Curse/Dark Curse trade into question, but that's another topic for another day) and, as Lola said, we've seen a forced Sleeping Curse in later seasons.

I agree. Remember what Regina said about the Poisoned Apple, "Your body will be your tomb and you will be in there with nothing but dreams formed of your own regrets.". This actually contradicts with the other Sleeping Curses' effetcs as all they did was to send the people's souls to the Netherworld's red room.

If the Poisoned Apple was poisoned in the first place according to the readers of the book then maybe it's effects had to be mixed with the Sleeping Curse later, so that it would both do that dreams of regrets thing and put her in the state of death as what the Sleeping Curses do.

The rest comes up by naturally. So that it means that the Poisoned Apple has to be taken willingly but there's no such a rule for the Sleeping Curse on its own.
