  • Okay, dialogue in 6x19 seems to indicate that Rumple was the original Savior and that the Savior was always intended to confront the Black Fairy in some way regardless of how she was defeated. Dialogue throughout the season indicates Aladdin was not the only other Savior around and we can safely say he wasn't the one who encountered Jekyll and Hyde. What do you suppose happened to these other Saviors? Why didn't they follow through? Do you think Aladdin would've faced the BF if he hadn't used the shears?

    • I'm asking the same question. I feel like they didn't explain this enough.

    • Saviors in my opinion are the 'universes' response to great dark magic such as jafar and the black fairy. Everytime a villian with tremendous power is born the fates respond by creating an equally poerful being with light magic and by the end of their battle the light and the dark extiniguish one another

    • I think they were all destined to fight the Black Fairy. Every Savior between Rumple and Emma (and possibly before Rumple?) chickened out (like Aladdin) or had their powers taken from them (like Rumple).

Besides that, each Savior also had a shorter-term goal: Emma was supposed to break the Dark Curse; Aladdin was supposed to save Agrabah; etc.

Makes sense as the runes said Emma was the "Greatest light" so she may be the last true saviour as the black fairy is the greatest evil

    • i think its sort of a harry potter thing, remember when dumbledore said that there was another child that was born the same day as harry which was neville, but that voldemort chose harry instead of neville so that makes him the chosen one. its the same with the black fairy, i think most of them know that if they remain a savior that they might have to face the final battle with the great evil as was prophesized, so they used the shears (or some other means to un-savior themselves) so that they dont have to, but because the black fairy chose emma, she's the savior that has to do it.

    • Yeah about univeres thing,i do think that Saviors are only connected and bound to FairyTale world in  wich they are like protectors of that world and fight other villans. But i am realy intrested who apointed the Saviors ? was there in past the First Savior who imprisond an ancient evil,or did a noble and just king chose the Saviors as protectors of FairyTale world ? because we realy need an true  origin story of Saviors. And Fates only by using Shears can controll or sewer somebody from his destiney but they arent Deities or Creators of Univeres that have power to creat Souls,Worlds and realms.
