  • Will we get an explanation of how Neverland still exists if the magic that created it was dying?  KITSIS: I would say that the magic that created it was dying, which only affected Peter Pan, who wanted to live forever. It is now a refuge for lost people to come and have bonfires and their own Coachella-like parties. HOROWITZ: They’re not being sustained by magic or given immortality anymore. It’s now a feral, scary island. KITSIS: It’s an open place real estate opportunity. A lot of people call it Enchanted Forest adjacent. Instead of Neverland, it’s now Enchanted Forest adjacent. HOROWITZ: It’s an up-and-coming neighborhood. But the schools aren’t great yet. KITSIS: Because they don’t really have any.

What do you think about this? Is Neverland part of Fairy Tale Land now? Is it an island that moves around the ocean?

    • Very interesting. I think they were joking though.

    • Nope. Enchanted Forest Adjacent simply means it's like any magical...well, in context they often say adjacent to mean concurrent to that world. Neverland is still a separate world, but probably more like a moon or satellite planet around FTL.

If it's apart of FTL, then it just recently popped up there, but I doubt it because it started as a dream world in the first place.  So, it could be that since Malcolm made it real and the magic he possessed was holding it all together (with the immortality part), it just dropped all notions and just became: either a less magical world, or part of EF.

All in all, it probably doesn't matter. Red and Mulan somehow travelled to Oz from Dunbroch following a scent, so I wouldn't think to hard on it. XD

    • All magical worlds are "EF Adjacent"; which is why any magic user worth a damn can transit through them easily. The only world that is truly severed from the rest is the LWM due to its apparent lack of magic.

    • In the latest sneak peek, when Hook was attacked by some of the Lost Boys, it can be seen some nearby islands across the sea. Do you think maybe that's the Enchanted Forest?

Seeing how they film everything in similar places. I doubt it. When Rumple used the globe to track Henry, Neverland was seen to have more than one landmass. Plus, seeing how there was a boat, I'm guessing it's just a rather insignificant piece of land that's not Skull Rock or the mainland. At least, Hook had a place to dock and not be on the sea for decades. XD

Plus, I don't think we've ever seen a portal go to another place within the same world.

We have, between the Enchanted Forest and Camelot in Out of the Past.

      Are the novels considered canon?

Yes. The thing with the comics was that Camelot was another world, but we know know it's not.

    • Camelot was another world? According to whom?

And yes, the novels are canon, even tho Out of the Past is a comic (which are also canon).

    • I believe before S5, Jane once mentioned that Camelot "seems" to be a world, other than it "is" a world.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Well, it should be an island in the FTL land, since Blackbeard escaped.

        Preparing Editor Spell
    • Guys, the thing they said is a joke. It's a real estate joke. When you try to sell bad property you say it's [something good] adjecent. Just like they talked about an up-and-coming neighborhood and that the schools aren't great yet.

    • Then what happened to black beard? Did he fell off the Neverland

Who knows. He's just wandering the ocean I guess. Maybe he had another magic bean, and is going to use that. Otherwise, he'll use a mermaid or something.

Camelot is a few days' ride away from Arendelle, and Arendelle is in the FTL.

We know that now, but prior to Camelot being on the main show it was "a world" as far as we knew. Note that it says prior to season 5. XD

    • So, were A&E just joking then. Reading through this I've read a lot of contradicing comments of people taking them seriously and some people saying it was a joke, and somehow Camelot and what is considered canon has been brought into the discussion.

I don't know about everybody else, but talk of a magical moving island is kind of making me feel Lost. (See what I did there?)
