  • Maybe I'm too much of a nerd but...

Is the savior mythology going to be similar to the slayer or the avatar? Is a new savior called when the previous one dies or gives up the power as Aladdin did, or does fate\magic know when one will be needed? Is the savior a spirit of light like Ravaa? OK, that last one might be a stretch...

    • I like your line of thinking! :D

Many tales have or center on a "Savior".... is OUaT basing theres on one? A mix of several? Something new? It's fun to think about

    • The show is all about girl power, I definitely think they used Buffy for a little inspiration.

    • I think Saviour is just the Storybook name for the hero of a story. Aladdin was written as the hero of Agrabahs story so in universe he is the destined hero meant to save them. Emma is the hero of story Brooke/main character of the show.

Agreed.... to add on that, it is probably just a title given to anyone with Light Magic, as well.

    • Savior magic may be light magic (though I think it is more), but I don't agree that light magic users are all saviors. That would make Glinda a savior, and Regina as well (since she used light magic to defeat Zelena).

    • Anyone can have light magic, just some more powerful than others

    • So, far a Savior is a prophesied hero with light magic. So, that's just Emma and Aladdin.
