  • There still seems to be a feud between Aurora/Phillip and Maleficent. Now that Maleficent is in Storybrooke, how will the couple react and what will they do? I mean she did put Aurora in a sleeping curse and she turned Phillip into a monster (before Belle changed him back). I suppose Snow and Charming can reason with them all, since they buried the hachet with Mal already.

    What do you think?

Like how Aurora recall her saving her parents by surrendering to Maleficent and stuff. I'm sure Mal wil forget too. Be angry in the past or be happy in the present. Pretty much, I don't see anything happening unless they bring them back.....which I doubt for this half. Haha, imagine all the princesses together (Unless Phillip and Aurora are king and Queen?!)

    • We did see most of the Princesses together in one scene. Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora (when they were in First Mother's day together).

    • I'm still not over the fact that they never explained Maleficent's hatred towards Briar Rose (hopefully that will be addressed when Lily's father is revealed) and, more importantly, how Phillip is alive.

I swear I'll never forgive them if that just gets ignored when the show ends.

    • ^I hope they do address these things. But I wouldn't be surprised if the answer to Lily's father and how Phillip is alive be Merlin.

    • They are not going to adress it.

You will never forgive the show.... seriously?

Aurora and Prince Phillip are just minor characters, nor does OUaT revolve around Sleeping Beauty. Let them just raise Phillip Jr., and enjoy the simple life of Storybrooke.

I agree that they are minor characters that any minute which focuses on them is a waste of time. However, they shouldn't have brought up questions about them and loose ends in the first place. Since they had aready done that, they should have at least answer them. Again it brings us to that poor planning issue.

    • How Phillip is alive has been hinted at several times, in past seasons. His soul was probably sent to the Netherworld, which is how Aurora found him. Their storyline would not be a waste of time, if it actually progressed to overall plot.

    • Actually, I could see a spinoff arc that was focused specifically on Sleeping Beauty and Mulan (since they have already mashed those 2 tales together). the biggest question would be getting all the Actors to be available, and I would include Lily in that mix as well. they could take a 13 episode arc and spin Sleeping Beauty the same way they spun Snow White during the first season.  THey'd have to find a solid present day plotline, but the flashbacks more than take care of themselves.

And, unlike Wonderland, a Sleeping Beauty spinoff would leave room for some of the cast from the Main show to make cameo appearances. Especially if they give any thought to when in the timeline the story takes place.

Lol, I just considered that idea on another thread. That way you can have more Aurora, Mulan and Maleficent backstory and not interfere with the show.

Yeah, Phillip is a minor character who appears for 3/4 episodes, but Aurora isn't so insignificant: her and Mulan had a big role in season 2a, and remember the princess didn't reveal immediately Zelena's plans (unfortunately).

Anyway, in Once Upon a Time there are three types of characters: the major characters (like Emma, Snow White, the Queen, Prince Charming...), the minor characters (who appeair for 1-4 episodes, like Cinderella, Hansel and Gretel, Anton the Giant, King Leopold...) and the secondary characters (who appeair in 10-30 episodes; I'm talking about Grumpy, Granny, Red Riding Hood, Dr Whale, the Snow Queen...). Aurora is in the last category.

The secondary characters are the characters who appeair often, also when they're useless for the plot (Grumpy appeiars in every episodes for one-two lines). Aurora is a secondary character for those reasons: she appeairs in almost 20 episodes and  her lasts appearances aren't important for the storylines (see 322, 407 and 414).

I'm sure Aurora, as a secondary character, will appeair in a few episodes of season 5 and we will see her and Maleficent in a little argument. And if Mulan will appeair again, our precious Sleeping Beauty will be with her.
