  • Why couldn't Regina do that spell to keep someone from taking her heart out like she did with Henry?

    • I'm thinking that Regina thought Zelena was too powerful and might be able to break the spell somehow, and since she didn't have a whole lot of time, she simply made the quick decision to take out her own heart and rush off to meet Zelena for battle.

    • Yes that makes sense and a good opportunity for Outlaw Queen.

    • #Plot.

It's more decisive, too, and just like her. In her mind, it was in good hands.

    • It sounds like something Regina would do.

    • I think maybe Regina thought it was useless and it wouldnt work. Zelena was able to go in her office even with Regina's spell because they are sisters

    • But wasn't that only because she specifically blood locked it? The spell to protect her heart isn't blood magic isn't it?

    • Well the heart pumps the blood...

Regina didn't cast a spell to protect her own heart. She only took it out and gave it to Robin Hood to guard. If she did cast a spell to protect her own heart, sealing it with blood magic is the last thing Regina would do since Zelena could break it due to their blood connection.

Zelena could enter the castle crypt in the Enchanted Forest because Regina specifically locked it using blood magic. I do not recall Regina, in Storybrooke, ever using a spell to lock her office. Or I could be remembering wrong.

I always took the open crypt to be where Cora walked out. I've never bought that it was Zelena who decided to crawl through the caves to get into the Castle. I assumed she said that part to irk Regina. How would she even know about them? Shed have flown in. But Cora, she'd know. She lived there.

Regina locked her office with blood magic and that's why she was shocked the monkey got in because no one is powerful enough to break blood magic.

That was Zelena herself, who walked in to destroy the potion. Anyways it was in Witch Hunt, when Emma and Regina run the con of making Zelena believe that they were creating a memory potion, only to try and trap her in Regina's office when she pooffed in. Regina used a blood lock because it was the most powerful magic she could think of, and didn't remember Zelena being her sister yet.
