  • When Regina reversed the curse in the mid season finale, she said it would be as if storybrooke never existed. I take this as reversing the dark curse and sending all those effected back to the enchanted forest. If Regina just reversed her curse, why would Tinkerbell, Hook, Neal, and even Emma be sent back. They never came over with the curse, it's already been established they can leave town without any effects so why would reversing the curse send them back when it never really affected them?

    • Tinker Bell, Hook Neal and Emma all were Enchanted Forest inhabitants. Do you remember what Regina said to the townspeople? She said the price for stopping Pan's curse is that everyone originally from the Enchanted Forest would have to go back to their old world. Because Emma was born in the Enchanted Forest, that would mean she had to go back as well, but on Regina's request, stayed behind with Henry. So it means Pan's curse has nothing to do with the fact there were some people unaffected by the Dark Curse. Emma and Henry both crossed over the town line, and the curse couldn't touch Emma outside of the border. Henry was born in the Land Without Magic, so he would be left all alone if Emma did not stay with him. It would not be possible for Henry to have been taken along with the curse had he stayed in town.

Because Emma would've at least forgotten about all the repairs they had done in their relationship since they ran into each other again, and it wouldn't have ended well to have him suddenly show up in the car with her, 'cuz that's how it'd be for her.

I wanna say there's other reasons too but I'm blanking. Anyone?

If Emma's memory prior to when she decided to give up Henry was changed by Regina to make her remember *not* giving him up and raising him, I do believe she and Neal still parted on bad terms. I agree that forgetting Neal and then suddenly having him sitting in the car would totally freak her out. Plus, right after she drove out of the town line, I think that's when her own as well as Henry's memories were altered. I suppose it would be another problem for Emma to suddenly have Neal pop up out of the blue and suddenly want to intergrate himself into her and Henry's lives after many years of nothing. Or maybe only she and Henry having their memories erased would make things a lot simpler for both without having the past (Neal and every relating to the Enchanted Forest + the curse) be brought up for them.

      Exactly what I was saying.

And hmm, perhaps. I doubt it though, because Henry's memory being altered means he forgets his father, so that would be the first thing to come up, and that would not end well.
