Alice and Cyrus are heading to Storybrooke! And during Christmas!!
When does this fit in the timeline, since there has been no Christmas since the Knave left SB and the present day? :O

Which episode is this for? The upcoming one, airing tonight? O.O
LOL at Alice's face. Like, wtf is this :)
No. An episode in the second half of the season. Sorry, I don't know exactly which ep

You think pumpkins are out of place in September? Maybe in the UK... but people in my area do have pumpkins and crap like that outside as early as the end of August. Halloween is a big deal in the US, and people in the suburbs like to decorate lol
I mean, you do realize that you're trying to imply that the Doctor occurred around Halloween, which we know is not true, right? XD I mean, why can't it just be an errant pumpkin? The people who make the show do, in fact, make mistakes and forget things.
According to this, Storybrooke will appear in 'Heart of the Matter'.
I actually think that the whole show (Pilot – Going Home) has happened within less than a year, maybe about 6 months – the onyl thing contradicting this would be Valentine's Day in Skin Deep, but that might well be a side effect of the curse. Because let's face it, all the events in the shows seem to happen quite quickly.
The events between 1x01 and 1x07 take place within a couple of weeks at most (1x01-02-03 are surely consecutive days, and so are 1x06-07). Then we have a two weeks gap, and the events between 1x08 and 1x09 seem pretty close too, as Regina still hasn't got used to Emma being the sheriff. 1x10 seems pretty close, too, as it would be unlikely Regina didn't notice a stranger in town for weeks given how well informed she is, and so is 1x11, because it would only make sense for Henry to go and check if his book is allright immediately after the storm.
Then we have Valentine's Day on 1x12, which doesn't really make sense at this point, because it seems to happen pretty soon after 1x11 thanks to Emma and MM's conversation at Granny's. Surely it's not been whole months, because in that time Henry would have figured out how to sneak past Regina and see Emma (which indeed he does pretty soon afterwards). There's nothing that tells us how much time occours between 1x12 and 1x13, but at this point we know the next 10 episodes happen within a matter of a week, two at most: Kathryn leaves (1x13), the next day her car is found during Miner's Day (1x14) and David is brought to the sheriff station for questioning (opening of 1x15), the next day Ruby works with Emma and finds the heart at Toll Bridge (1x15), the next day Mary Margaret gets arrested (end of 1x15) and questioned, and David seeks counsel from Doctor Hopper (1x16). It might take some time for the DNA tests to be run, but then we have 1x17 which occours within one single night between MM's escape in 1x16 and 1x18. The latter covers two days (MM being prosecuted and Kathryn being found), while we can be quite sure 1x19 copletes the second day of 1x18 because all the events tale place immediately after Kathryn's finding (Regina confronting Gold, Emma askinf Kathryn what happened, meanwhile August tricks Mr. Gold and Regina sets Sidney up to confess). At the end of 1x19, it's the next day, Sidney confesses and Emma decides to take back Herny. 1x20 picks up there and she tries to see if she can do it legally until August scares her and she decides to run away with Henry. 1x21 is the immediate aftermaths, and 1x22 is that same night and the next morning, when the Curse is broken. All these events must be very close to one another.
At this point, we also know that 4 weeks have passed between 1x15 and 2x07, because it's full moon in both episodes so that time must have occourred, while there wasn't enough for it to be 8 weeks given the above. A few more days for Emma and Mary Margeret to get back to Storybrooke, and we likely found ourselves in the middle of winter, perfectly in time for Snow's birthday "in the middle of the harshest winter". The rest of Season 2 does not seem to take much time either, as 2x17 happens right after 2x16, and from 2x18 onwards it's a matter of days with very fast happenings like in Season 1. Then we got a week during which the first half of Season 3 happens.
Of course, I might be wrong, but I'm basing myself a lot on logical assumptions on how much/little time might occour between one event and another, outfit changes between different days (or the same day) and so on, and I thik I've been pretty accurate (also, I've been doing a marathon of the whole series to get to the mid-season premiere, so I'm quite fresh on that all).
You are pretty much entirely correct. I actually had a debate on another site with someone about this. XD
Emma arrived in Storybrooke in October. It is still winter or spring in Storybrooke during "Going Home". We know this based on, among other factors, the clothing being worn throughout the series. No one has dropped their coats/jackets. (With an exception for Ruby, who we've seen wear shorts, but that's easily chalked up to her clothing style). There's also Jennifer Morrison's statement that each episode of season two is about a day, and we know that the first half of season three occurred in about a week.
There's still a large number of fans, however, who are fairly convinced significantly more time has passed...usually convinced by Henry turning eleven and that "Emma and Henry have the same birthday" theory that won't die.
I can not get that theory either. It is proven wrong with the most basic of maths. Unless two persons are born the same day, one's age will change before the other one's does, and nothing indicates Emma and Henry are the same age.
Well, that is the theory. That Emma and Henry have the same birthday, based on her needing to be certain ages at certain times. I'll have to try to find the old thread where it was being discussed.
However, we know that's not the case. Emma's birthday is in Oct, and Henry doesn't mention being 11 until spring.
