I actually dislike this title. It's such a giveaway title, and I wish they could've used one to allude to the mermaid instead. One of Chocolateeyes' suggestions was "A Tale of a Tail", which is quite nice instead of just "Ariel" lol.

Awww.... thanks Apple, that is really sweet. A Tale of a Tail would have been a nice title, for an Ariel-centric episode.
Agreed.... 3.06 being titled Ariel is the biggest giveaway, ever! In the cases of Dreamy and Lacey, we did not know those were Grumpy's and Belle's names. No one is going to look at Ariel, and not instantly think of The Little Mermaid.
Anything would have been a better title.... even something cheesy like Part of Your World or Under the Sea. Heck, even Deep End would have been better.
Actually I don't think it's bad that the episode is titled 'Ariel'. For me it just implies that this is not only about her backstory, it also means she is an important character. I think. Or maybe this is all just me hoping that she will become a main character. :D
i guess, this will be the episode where we find out how Rumple got King Triton's Trident. If you remember, it was in his Dark Castle, and I don't remember the episode, but it means something. Is, Triton dead or alive and trapped in Storybrooke?! Or is he somewhere else, can't wait to see if Regina becomes Ursula too.
Also possible the deal Regina made with him about "a cirtain mermaid" in "skin deep". And it seems like Neverland was untouched by the curse. Because Ariel is gonna be there and the lost boys and Peter Pan are still there.
I think that Ariel qill be very different than the other mermaids in Neverland. One who doesn't want to hurt the humans that inhabit the land. Because I think what Hook said is true, making the mermaid evil.
I also wonder if Atlantica will be located underneath Neverland, still under the rule of Triton, or that after Ariel gave the Triton to Regina (who gave it to Rumple) fled and ended up in Neverland. Argh the suspense
you know, i picture Shohreh Aghdashloo as Ursula. She scared me in Grimm. Anyone else thinks so, she's so underrated. I wonder, if she could play this role. She may a little older, but she has Ursula's voice right XD just not the eyes.
I think the reason for the dead give away title is that people have been clamoring for Ariel since Season One Episode Twelve Skin Deep, when Regina tells Rumple she needs his help with a certain mermaid. People have wanted Ariel for almost two years now, so I think the reason the episode is titled Ariel is an acknowledgement to the fans. I could be completely wrong though.
I hope it is not like "the outsider" where the person mentioned in the title doesn't show up until the last minute, literally. I doubt it, as they have cast Eric, but I could still see them doing it like that, which I think would frustrate people.
