The Royal Castle is a Wish Realm location on ABC's Once Upon a Time. It first appears in the tenth episode of the sixth season, and is the Wish Realm version of the Royal Castle.
History
When Roni goes to the Wish Realm to help her friends rescue Henry's wife and daughter from Wish Rumplestiltskin, Sir Henry takes her as his prisoner out of a desire to make her pay for what she did to his family. After a pair of Black Knights haul Roni into the throne room, she faces Henry at the altar as he confronts her about her crimes against him. Roni recalls the room they are in is where she once declared she would cast the Dark Curse, however, she insists she is no longer that person. Even though Henry doesn't trust her claims that Rumplestiltskin is only using him, Roni insists she knows he is brave and kind and has saved so many people, including her, and she begs him to let her save him this time. Henry states he doesn't need to be saved before cutting hard into her palm and drawing blood. He then tells her it should serve as a reminder that, in this realm, stories are written in blood and tears. As Henry leaves, he proclaims they will fight tomorrow and he'll finally have his happy ending once she dies at his hands. Later, Henry returns to the altar, where Rumplestiltskin visits to offer him a demonstration for his plans for the heroes. The Black Knights then bring in Rumplestiltskin's captive, the Blue Fairy, whom the Dark One is going to banish to an alternate realm where she will live out her unhappy ending. To accomplish this, Rumplestiltskin explains to Henry that he needs the darkness in his blood, which is very potent because he is the Author. He goads Henry into channeling his darkness into power, which helps trigger the opening of a portal that banishes the Blue Fairy to her prison realm. Afterward, Rumplestiltskin reveals he made storybooks for everyone. ("Leaving Storybrooke")
While in her prison cell, Roni dreams about her deceased lover, Robin Hood, who encourages her to persuade Henry into turning over a new leaf. When Roni wakes up, she finds a red feather in her hand which Robin gave her as a token of his faith in her. Outside, Rogers and Margot distract the Black Knights to enable Henry to sneak into the prison to free Roni. Henry runs into some knights and one of them nearly kills him, though he is saved by two other masked knights, who reveal themselves to be his grandparents, Snow and David. After regrouping with the other heroes in the war council room, Snow and David discuss Rumplestiltskin's storybooks which they found in one of the castle rooms on their way to rescue Roni. As everyone has a chance to look through their own storybooks, David explains that although the stories in them are complete, they can still work to prevent Rumplestiltskin from making the realms real. When Rogers decides to go look for Weaver, Snow asks him to take Henry and Margot with him. David assigns everyone else to split up and help warn the Wish Realm inhabitants about Rumplestiltskin's plans. Before they all go their separate ways, Snow tells them about the importance of reminding the people of this realm to have hope of the Dark One's defeat. ("Leaving Storybrooke")Trivia
