Michael Antonakos is the Greek actor who portrays Farzeen Shahmed on ABC's Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Biography

Michael Antonakos was born on October 21, 1982 in Athens, Greece.[1] At the age of three, Antonakos and his family moved to Canada, where his parents owned an Inuit and Native art gallery in Lake Louise and Banff, Alberta.[1] He began performing at the age of nine and spent his youth at the Rocky Mountain Shakespeare Company. His mother, a trained ballet teacher, and choreographer, trained Michael in dance and his sister, an opera singer, introduced him to singing, where he trained with renowned classical teacher Nicoli Kolesnikov.[1]

After moving to Victoria, British Columbia, Antonakos began to study drama, resulting in the young man performing in several musicals.[1] His television and film career began to take shape in Vancouver, British Columbia but his career path shifted after he landed his first video game audition with The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age. He became a well known voice-actor and voiced characters in Sleeping Dogs, Max Steel, Dead Rising 4, Mass Effect: Andromeda, Anthem and Assassin's Creed Odyssey.[1]

Antonakos television and film credits include The Good Doctor, Prison Break, iZombie, Arrow and Fringe.[1]

He has been married to Tara Newstead since April 2, 2011.[2] The couple have one daughter.[3]
