Jadeflower became ill and did not respond to treatment, so she had to be put to sleep, poor thing. For various reasons, I need to take a break from having pets now, so I found a new home for Cherokee Rose – the breeder that I bought her from five years ago, was willing to take her back; she is going to use her as an "old aunt" for young guinea pigs who have been weaned from their mothers. She has settled into her new home and is doing well; I'm so glad she has company again; a guinea pig will never be happy without a cage mate.
You're so welcome. It was nearly impossible for me not to say something after our guinea pig talk. It's good to hear Cherokee Rose has some company and is doing alright, since she must of been so sad about Jadeflower. My heart goes out to you!
I noticed the ABC Wiki is part of your affiliates but the link is not working. The current link is c:abcchannel and it's suppose to be something like w:c:abc because the URL was updated to abc.fandom.com after the merger.
Always a pleasure to have an admin helping out with user edits with the lesser known tie-in material. Appreciate what you did with Nostos and Siren's pages. Just out of curiosity, may I ask if you've read all of the tie-in stuff? I heard you say you were friends with Wendy Tolliver, right?
Ah! Thank you for your kind words :-) Yes, I own all the tie-in stuff and have read them all :-)
Unfortunately, I don't know Wendy Tolliver, although it sure would have been fun to say I was friends with an OUAT author :-) I think Lady Junky was in contact with her on Twitter a few years ago; maybe she is the one you're thinking of?
Hey Lily, if you haven't read yesterday's community central accouncement yet, feel free to check it out. It's fairly big news regarding an upcoming MediaWiki update! We don't have too much details on it yet but for now just like to ensure you guys know Fandom will soon have a much more updated version of MediaWiki with more tools.
Another update we have in case you haven't read the latest central blog is we now have an official Discord server for Fandom. Feel free to join and look around if you'd like. The vanity url is https://discord.gg/Fandom.
Hiiii! I just thought I would give you a heads up about all the re-naming of images I have been doing lately. I am pretty sure I talked to you before about some images being labelled as PNG and png. You did mentioned that it does not matter, and has little value. But, when I was uploading images for "Down the Rabbit Hole", an issue arose. I can't recall the image where it all happened, but in a hypothetically sense. If one image is named W101Wonderland.PNG and you go to upload another image named W101Wonderland.png, it doesn't allow you. Because, clearly -- it's the same name.
But if you search W101Wonderland.png, nothing comes up and the file doesn't exist, even though when you go to rename the image, it tells you it does. It really doesn't have any value in the longevity of things, but I can understand people being confused by it, as I was when it first happened. I figured it would be easier if all images where under .png and I have been renaming them as such. I really hope that is okay and that I haven't stepped on any toes by doing so! Alternatively, if you still think it does not matter, I can stop the renaming. I just wanted to make sure it is alright. :-)
(I also worked out how image queue works when renaming images, so at least I can do them in big batches instead of one by one). xD
Hi Kyle! I don't mind if you rename them; it is completely fine with me and don't worry, you haven't stepped on any toes :-)
However, I have a question: I noticed that you have deleted many redirects lately. Do you tick the "Leave a redirect behind" box when you rename the pics? If the answer is yes, I recommend that you leave it empty; that will save you the trouble of deleting the redirects :-)
I’ve finally got all the links to Baelfire that I can switched over, but in Special:WhatLinksHere/Baelfire I still have a few locked templates that have links to it, I was wondering I you could fix them (except the necessary ones for the main page of course), and likely others for Malcolm and Pinocchio.
Hi Nightlily, how are you? This is Chen from Fandom. As you may have noticed with the new change of our Community Org, our team will be highly focused on building a closer relationships with our communities, admins and users than before. As one of the Community Managers, I will be together with our Wiki Manager Marcus to fully support this wiki, help you and other admins solve any issues/concerns on this wiki, partnership with you guys for any exciting relevant projects, and make this wiki more attractive and successful.
Long in short - we are here to fully support any needs you may have to make this community keep growing successfully. If you and other admins need any help, feel free to directly contact Marcus or me any time. We will be always in touch! Any questions? :)
Hey Nightlily, I'm Marcus. I believe I've conversed with you several years ago on chat. Just as Chen said, if you have any issues/concerns on this wiki don't hesitate to drop a message! We'd love to support this community and make the experience on Fandom amazing.
Hi Nick, since the show has been cancelled for over a year, there may not be too much more to add on. In order to attract more fans to this wiki, you can (1) make all the existing pages are more completed with full information, (2) include some stories connected to the fairy tail of the show to this wiki, for example, you can include some info about the movie Maleficent or Sleeping Beauty and compare different plots and storylines to make the articles more interesting, and (3) post more discussions to let people engage in the topic, for example, creating a poll or quiz or post a meme, etc. Use the feature Announcement to promote your post and attract users' awareness. Hope these tips help!
Yep, you can always add these widgets. But at the end of the day, these are just the "tools" you can easily use. The key here is how to send words out there and attract more users and editors to the community, and make SEO rank higher on Google. That's being said, continually updated content and non-stop user engagement/activities will be quite helpful to make the community more popular. You can promote the wiki/content on social media instead of just having a social media widget on the site. Does that make sense to you? :)
Yeah, I've noticed that as well. I've done the same for her.
As for the manager, feel free to ask him yourself; just tell them that you are a staff member and that I gave you permission to speak on the wiki's behalf. If he wishes to discuss this with admins only, I'll take over :-)
I wasn't sure who exactly the Cook and Robert where, but maybe you would know. I also didn't do the Camelot Guard because I was thinking that maybe we should make a page for Camelot Guards instead. (like Black Knights)
I've added the pics and added entries for the Cook, Robert and the Camelot Guard. The guards seen in the comics are not the same as Arthur's guards; Jefferson and Priscilla robbed a different castle (read the trivia section for more info).
