Meghan Ory is the Canadian actor who portrays Red Riding Hood and Ruby on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Biography
Meghan Ory was born on August 20, 1982[1] in Victoria, British Columbia[2] to Bonnie and Nathan Ory. She has one brother, Jesse.[1] Meghan is of Scottish descent.[3] Her first taste of acting was at age five in a French play.[4] Growing up, Meghan tried out everything from highland fling and horseback riding to singing and gymnastics.[2] She attended Royal Oak Middle School and Claremont Secondary School.[5] After receiving the Fine Arts Award for Acting in 1996, she began pursuing a career in acting.[4]
Her first professional acting gig as an actor was in a Fox Family television movie called The Darklings. Meghan's talent led her to be cast into many other television series roles; a starring role in the series Higher Ground followed by the MTV series 2gether. From there, she became a cast member of the Canadian television series Vampire High. Other television show appearances include The Outer Limits, Dark Angel, and Smallville. In 2006, Meghan had a recurring role in the short-lived UPN television series South Beach.
Meghan met Nova Scotican actor John Reardon in 2006 while they were filming the mini-series Merlin's Apprentice.[6] They married in 2008.[7]
She has expressed interest in filmmaking as a producer, writer or director had her career choice not been acting. Her hobbies include yoga, painting renovating the house, and writing.[4]

- In 2011, it was reported that she had been actively working in the last few years towards finishing her first novel as a series of teen books with the expectant title The Chronicles of Girl Wars. She stated the series would be about issues that most girls face in high school such as bullying, and friends turning into enemies.[4] She planned to publish under the name Meghan Reardon.[9]
- Participated in a fashion show as a runaway model in April 2013 at the New York-based From Scotland With Love Fashion Show that featured a designer fusion of Scottish and Asian clothing influence as a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior Project and the McConnell International Foundation.[10] She modeled one of designer Vivenne Westwood's dresses.[11]
