Before First Curse

In a deal with the Sorcerer's apprentice, Ingrid returns a magic hat for information to find a third sister she wants to complete her family. Along with a scroll for locating this sister, the apprentice provides Ingrid with transport to another realm through a portal door. ("Smash the Mirror")

During First Curse

After Mary Margaret Blanchard, David Nolan and Mr. Gold wake up from the Dark Curse, the latter creates a magic door for David and Mary Margaret so they can reunite with their daughter. When they discover that if they reunite with her, the curse will never be broken, they decide to drink a potion that will recurse them, to ensure the breaking at a later date. ("Awake")

Before Second Curse

Upon learning the Wicked Witch of the West desires her unborn child, Snow White and her allies consult Rumplestiltskin for a solution. He directs them to the banished Good Witch of the South, Glinda, who only allows those with pure hearts to enter her realm. Snow White, with Prince Charming and Regina, search the woods for Glinda when they find a manifested door. Both Snow White and Prince Charming go through easily, ending up in Glinda's snowy land, but Regina cannot as she is not pure of heart. Glinda explains the Wicked Witch's weakness is light magic and only one born from true love can defeat her. Realizing Emma fits the criteria, Snow White decides another curse must be cast so they can return to Storybrooke. ("A Curious Thing")

During Second Curse

After the second curse is cast, a mansion not previously present in Storybrooke is brought over. Inside, a portal door to Arendelle remains invisible and unseen to visitors. ("Smash the Mirror")

After Second Curse

To conceal his lies from Belle, Mr. Gold uses the apprentice's enchanted broom to find the invisible portal in a mansion. After unveiling it, he sends Hook to inform Emma about the portal so the Arendelle natives, including Anna, who knows of Mr. Gold's true agenda, can go home. David, Emma and Mary Margaret accompany Anna, Elsa and Kristoff to the mansion, where the trio say their final goodbyes. As Elsa and Kristoff walk into the door, Anna moves to follow them, but pauses to inquire about Mr. Gold and his identity in his prior life. Shocked, Anna learns he is Rumplestiltskin, a wizard she once met and stopped from gaining power. Emma, too, is stunned as Mr. Gold previously asserted to having no knowledge of Anna or Elsa. Suspecting he is up to no good, she and Mary Margaret rush off to confront him as Anna journeys into the door. Shortly after, the Arendelle natives safety arrive home. ("Heroes and Villains")
