Emma to Mary Margaret src

MacCutcheon Scotch Whisky is a beverage featured on ABC's Once Upon a Time. It first appears in sixth episode of the first season.

History

During First Curse

While washing the dishes, Mary Margaret talks to Emma about her feelings for David, who is married. She is focused on what he said about choosing her, and not his wife, Kathryn. Emma ushers her to stop cleaning and the two sit down to have a drink. As Emma pours two glasses of MacCutcheon scotch whisky, she advises Mary Margaret against getting involved with a married man and to allow David to figure out his life. ("The Shepherd")

Following Graham's untimely death, Emma is fired from the sheriff station, on Regina's orders. Furious, she takes out her anger on a broken toaster in the apartment, playing loud music while a bottle of MacCutcheon whisky is sitting on the countertop next to her. ("Desperate Souls")

After First Curse

Summoned from a medallion by Mr. Gold, the Wraith is given orders to hunt down Regina and take her soul. When Emma, David and Mary Margaret learn of what will happen to Regina, the four of them lure the Wraith to the town hall. While Emma, David and Mary Margaret distract it, Regina attempts to open a portal from a hat to send the Wraith away to another world. Because the Wraith is intimated by fire, Mary Margaret takes a bottle of MacCutcheon whisky and pours the content onto the railing, before setting the liquid on fire. ("Broken")

Belle, with her false memories triggered by Regina, becomes the exact opposite of the person Mr. Gold once knew. Now going by the name Lacey, she is won over by Mr. Gold's dark personality and the two hang out in the pawnshop while drinking MacCutcheon whisky and chatting. Their time is interrupted when David and Mary Margaret arrive for another one of Mr. Gold's magical solutions. ("Second Star to the Right")

The residents of Storybrooke face the possibility of being wiped out of existence when Greg and Tamara activate a trigger. While waiting for the end, Gold pours himself and Belle a glass of MacCutcheon whisky. Belle accidentally spills her glass of whisky all over the table and hastily tries to use a shawl to wipe the stains. Mr. Gold angrily snatches it away, shouting that the shawl belonged to someone important to him and that she wouldn't understand. ("And Straight On 'Til Morning")

While Mr. Gold is away in Neverland, Belle receives a visitor from the same land, Ariel, who gives her message from him. They go to the pawnshop, where the whisky bottle they were sharing is sitting on the table. ("Dark Hollow")

During Second Curse
Following a funeral service for Neal, the townspeople regroup at Granny's Diner to mourn quietly. Suddenly, the Wicked Witch, Zelena, storms in to reveal herself as Regina's half-sister and challenges her sibling to a public battle after sundown. After she is gone, Granny pours a customer a glass of MacCutcheon whisky while everyone is still trying to make sense of what just happened. ("It's Not Easy Being Green")

After Second Curse

Since escaping from Emma, who he has been avoiding since stealing money from an ice cream shop, Will outruns her again at a local restaurant. After celebrating his getaway by getting drunk, he mistakes the closed library for a bar and begins lock-picking his way in while holding a bottle of MacCutcheon whisky. He eventually gets into the library. In the morning, Belle finds Will asleep on the floor, still holding the whisky bottle, and the brunette phones Emma for help. ("The Apprentice")

After waking up from a nightmare, Mary Margaret finds an insomniac David sitting on the stairs. After pouring himself a glass of MacCutcheon whisky, David and his wife discuss their shared concern over Maleficent's friends being in town and what that might mean for them and their family. ("Unforgiven")

During Fifth Curse

After burning a petition to save the Community Gardens, Jacinda recuperates at Roni's bar, telling Roni about how her actions disappointed her daughter Lucy, despite that she destroyed the petitions for a chance to be with her daughter. Roni pours her a shot of MacCutcheon whisky and advises Jacinda to think about how much she is willing to give up to Victoria Belfrey, who will take away everything from her if she lets her. ("The Garden of Forking Paths")

Fifty years after King Arthur takes control of the Underworld, Cruella De Vil shows up at Mordred's bar to celebrate Arthur's anniversary as ruler. She requests a whisky, but Mordred holds up an empty bottle of MacCutcheon scotch whisky. Cruella then asks for a mimosa instead. ("Tales From The Underworld: A Knight With Cruella")
