The Sultan refuses and then presses Mirza to explain why they cannot. When Mirza cannot think of a proper answer, the servant boy Jafar correctly answers in his place, which amazes the diplomat and his followers. The Sultan quickly covers up Mirza's failure by joking that, in Agrabah, even servants are educated. This makes everyone laugh in amusement, though the Sultan then sends Jafar out of the room.

It is then the Sultan realizes Jafar is his son and he purposely stole from the guard in order to meet him.

Prince Achmed is one of the neighboring princes who visit the Agrabahn capital palace as a prospective suitor vying for Princess Jasmine's hand in marriage. The Sultan, Jasmine's father, promises the Crown Jewel of Agrabah to whoever marries his daughter, but Jasmine walks in and declares her opposition to such an agreement. The street vendor, after seeing Ariel take a fork from his wares, pursues her through the streets of the Agrabahn capital, where he corners her. Ariel tries to apologize as she wasn't aware she was stealing, but the angry vendor grabs her necklace as payment. To his shock, Ariel's legs suddenly morph into a fishtail, causing him to call her a monster. Princess Jasmine intervenes by berating the man for his words and flicks a coin at him to make up for his lost fork. She then asks for the necklace back before telling him to get out of her sight. After dropping the necklace and retrieving the coin, the vendor scurries off.

As Prince Charming inspects the trunk with the knights, the escort asks him what's wrong, and Prince Charming tells him that the tree didn't fall; it's been cut. Realizing it's an ambush, they rush back to the carriage, but it is too late: The thief has already escaped with Charming's belongings: His engagement ring. ("Snow Falls," "The Shepherd")

In the alternate timeline of this journey, the royal carriage is blocked by a fallen tree. As Prince Charming examines the trunk with the knights, he discovers that the tree didn't fall; it's been cut. History:
For his status as a fugitive thief, Brennan Jones is put under a sleeping curse by his captors. While he is in a deep sleep, he hears a gentle woman, his nurse, speaking to him. They mutually fall in love, and she is able to break his curse with true love's kiss. She marries him, and helps to change him from his old selfish ways. The couple have a son, who Brennan names Liam, in honor of one of the two sons he abandoned so long ago. Eventually, his wife becomes ill and dies of the plague, leaving him to raise Liam alone.

The Head Troll lives with a group of trolls under the Troll Bridge. Ex-princess Snow White begins stealing from roadside travelers and giving the jewelry to the trolls so she can receive gold as payment. One day, she steals a ring from a prince which she sells off to the trolls, but he forces her to help him get it back. She leads him to the Troll Bridge where she attempts to buy the ring back. Unfortunately, the trolls refuse, and when they learn that Snow White is a fugitive of the Evil Queen, the trolls attempt to kidnap her. As the Head Troll is about to kill Charming, Snow White uses her dark fairy dust to turn all of the trolls into cockroaches, Prince Charming kills one of the bugs by stepping on it. ("Snow Falls")

The Lead Trolls live with a group of trolls under the Troll Bridge. On the Queen's orders, they attack Snow White as she approaches. Prince Charming is caught up in the scuffle. As the Head Troll is about to kill him, Snow White grabs a handful of sand and pretends it is fairy dust. She threatens to use the fairy dust to turn the trolls into bugs, to which they let Prince Charming go and retreat. Infuriated at their failure, the Queen turns the trolls into bugs. Setting this as an example for one of her guards, she stomps on one of the bugs, threatening to do the same to him if he fails to capture Snow White again. ("There's No Place Like Home")

Heathcliff is the wizard Knubbin's talking crow. He sees two humans, Red and Peter, near a gully and asks them if they have crumpets, a treat he hasn't had in three years. Red promises to give him one if he leads her to the wizard. Once Heathcliff takes her to the wizard's cottage, Red gives him a crumpet from her basket.[7] After Knubbin agrees to make a magic salve for Red, he tells her to come to the gully at high noon tomorrow, where Heathcliff will come to lead her to the cottage again. Heathcliff then takes Red to Peter, whose memory Knubbin erased, before he flies off.[15] The next day, Heathcliff appears after Red drops a crumpet for him, however, the crow states he cannot take her to Knubbin because he is not home. Red asks when he will return, but Heathcliff only says, "Nevermore," meaning he will never come back in the future. When prompted with more treats, he still leads her to the empty cottage, where Knubbin pops up to inform her he needs water from Lake Nostos to complete the salve. With his beak, Heathcliff passes Red a note which has a hint about how to find the lake's location.[16]

King Nostos lived in a castle with his wife, Queen Nostos. Every morning the king strolls to a nearby spring to hear the nightingales sing and to wash his hands and face. During one such visit, he meets a washerwoman whose singing voice and beauty enchant him. Queen Nostos, who had planned to surprise him for his birthday with a picnic, chances upon this and becomes jealous and afraid she will lose her power and luxury as queen if her husband loves the washerwoman.

The queen seeks out an evil sorceress to curse the washerwoman so she may never surface from the spring again, but with time the washerwoman becomes strong in her new home and turns the spring into a lake, eventually causing a sinkhole to swallow the entire castle and all of its inhabitants with it.[18]

Tucker is Red's classmate. At thirteen years old, he is described as scrawny, spotty-skinned, and mean as a badger. His hair often has a whitish powder in it, as he is the miller's son. Red doesn't like him just as the other village kids don't, but Peter pities him and frequently asks him to join in on after-school activities. Tucker tries to kiss a thirteen-year-old Red but she forces him to let her go by kneading him in the crotch. He then reacts with bewilderment, revealing he thought she wanted that sort of attention, as Violet has suggested Red's red cloak was an implication of her looseness. According to the curse, Dory was in a relationship with Michael. Until her "death," she kept a compass he gave her as a present, which later came into Ava's possession. Her children became orphaned after her "passing," to which Sheriff Swan uses the compass to track down who originally bought the item for Dory. This leads her to Michael, who has no knowledge of having fathered children, but he later accepts them as his own.
