Kalinda Vazquez is a writer and supervising producer for ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Kalinda Vazguez was born in New York, and moved to Los Angeles in 2001. She was named after a Star Trek character who only appeared in one episode of the Original Series by her father.[1]

Vazquez worked as a writing assistant, staff writer, and story editor from 2006-2009 on the Fox drama Prison Break. She also contributed several scripts to the series and co-wrote the final installment Prison Break: The Final Break.

She was an executive story editor and writer on the first season of the Fox action series Human Target.

In summer 2010 she joined the staff of The CW's action/espionage series Nikita's first season, as a writer and executive story editor. At the start of the second season, Vazquez was promoted to co-producer, a title she held until her departure at the end of the season.

In 2012, she wrote IDW Publishing's five-issue comic book series "Jericho: Season Four" based on the CBS drama Jericho.[2] That same year, Vazquez boarded the crew of Once Upon a Time as a writer, until her departure in May 2015.[3] She was replaced by Brigitte Hales.[4]

  • The episode Kalinda liked the most to write was "Lost Girl".[5]
