Jorge Garcia is the American actor who portrays Anton on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Biography
Jorge Fernando García was born on April 28, 1973[1] in Omaha, Nebraska to Cuban-born professor Dora Mesa and Chilean-born doctor Humberto García.[2] He grew up in San Juan Capistrano in Southern California and attended San Clemente High School.
His interest in acting sprouted after portraying a villain on-stage for a musical at Shorecliffs Middle School where he received good reception from the audience. Jorge was known by teachers and classmates for his love of theatre drama and acted in plays such as Arsenic and Old Lace and Fiddler on the Roof, had singing skills that garnered first place at the school talent show, did choir performances at the Triton Center, and was on the wrestling heavyweight team. As a senior, he was selected by the faculty as "Triton of the Year", the highest award given to only one graduating student per year.[3]
