Heather Doerksen is the Canadian actor who portrays Sarah on ABC's Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.

Biography

Heather Doerksen was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba.[1] Initially a science major at Simon Fraser University, she took a leap to concentrate on theatre and earned a BFA. At university, Heather appeared on stage in Antigone, The Cherry Orchard, Big Love, and Hedda Gabler. Upon graduation, she formed a company called Genus Theatre with five of her school colleagues, and co-wrote, directed, produced and starred in the first four Genus shows.[2]

She has appeared in an array of feature films, such as Joss Whedon’s The Cabin in the Woods, as well as Marmaduke alongside William H. Macy, The Day the Earth Stood Still opposite Kathy Bates, The Client List beside Jennifer Love Hewitt, In the Name of the King 2: Two Worlds opposite Dolph Lundgren, DreamWorksThe Uninvited, and Lionsgate's The Eye. She has appeared on the small screen too, playing recurring roles on the FOX series Fringe, The CW’s Smallville, and on two SyFy shows, Battlestar Galactica and Stargate: Atlantis.[2]

Heather continues to maintain a strong connection to the independent film world, acting in Indie Jonesing, which won for Best International Feature at the Indie Spirit Film Festival, Ambrosia, and the Leo Award-winning fable Alchemy and Other Imperfections. She has lent her voice to the cartoon series Holly Hobbie, Marvel's newest Wolverine series, and the animated Barbie movies, as well as doing motion capture for the latest release Barbie: A Perfect Christmas.[2]
