Before First Curse

The Gingerbread House is inhabited and owned by a villainous and cannibalistic Witch, who has a taste for children and uses the appeal of the Gingerbread House to lure them into her grasp, where she traps in them in cages and forces them to overindulge in heaps of food. ("Chosen")

At some point, the house becomes located in Oz and the Witch uses it to capture two children named Hansel and Gretel. During this time, the Wicked Witch of the West catches wind of a rumor about the place and seeks it out, hoping to banish the owner from Oz. She arrives to confront the Witch, only for the Witch to use a candy chandelier to throw her outside. Later, she returns to face off against her and rescue the children, who unbeknownst to her have escaped, and finds the Witch sweeping. She threatens her to leave Oz, but the Witch isn’t bothered by her threats and takes a giant candy cane from the house to attack with her. However, the Wicked Witch steals her sight away before she can do anything and leaves her wandering around outside. The Witch then becomes known as the Blind Witch, and the status of her Gingerbread House is left unknown. ("Chosen")
