For the first iteration, see Fairy Godmother. |
The Fairy Godmother is a character on ABC's Once Upon a Time. She débuts, with his only appearance, in the first episode of the seventh season and is portrayed by guest star Jillian Fargey.
The Fairy Godmother is based on the character of the same name from the fairytale "Cinderella", and the Disney film Cinderella.
History
Cinderella's Fairy Godmother is captured soon after helping her goddaughter get to the Prince's ball by Lady Tremaine. Upon waking up, the Fairy Godmother finds herself tied up, whilst Lady Tremaine stands over her. Cinderella's stepmother also reveals that she cut off the Fairy Godmother's impressive wings and stole her wand as punishment for helping Cinderella. In order to teach her daughter Drizella a lesson never to rely on magic, as it can be taken like the wand, Lady Tremaine kills the Fairy Godmother by turning her to dust, using the words Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo. ("Hyperion Heights")
