For the first iteration, see Fairy Godmother's Wand (The Price of Gold).
In the New Enchanted Forest, the Fairy Godmother has a wand which she uses to help Cinderella, however, she is captured by Lady Tremaine, Cinderella's wicked stepmother, and has her wings cut off and the wand stolen. Lady Tremaine taunts the Fairy Godmother briefly, while her daughter Drizella watches, before using the wand to disintegrate her. ("Hyperion Heights")
Despite her aversion to using magic, Lady Tremaine keeps the wand with her. When she is visited by Captain Hook from the Wish Realm who offers to team up with her to take out Cinderella if she uses magic to make him look like his younger counterpart, she pulls the wand out and complies with his request. ("A Pirate's Life")
After Cinderella joins the Resistance, she sneaks into her stepmother Lady Tremaine's home to confront her about why she has Anastasia's coffin. Tremaine reveals she intends to revive Anastasia by obtaining Henry's pure heart and demands Cinderella to fetch it for her. When Cinderella attempts to walk away, Tremaine grabs her arm and uses the wand's power to give Cinderella the ability to rip out a heart. She warns her stepdaughter that if she does not follow through with the plan, everyone in the Resistance will be murdered. ("The Garden of Forking Paths")
Convinced by Mr. Gold that Tremaine is up to no good by allowing her youngest daughter Drizella to learn magic, Regina and Drizella use a magic mirror to spy on Tremaine. In the presence of Anastasia's body, Tremaine taps the wand on her own hand to gain the heart-ripping ability. She then pulls out Anastasia's heart momentarily before putting it back. From observing this, a heartbroken Drizella realizes her mother wants her heart to be full of belief and pure enough to sacrifice for Anastasia's revival. ("Wake Up Call")
- The plot revolving around the Fairy Godmother's wand in the series is similar to the one from Cinderella III: A Twist in Time. Just like in the Disney film, the wand is used against the Fairy Godmother to neutralize her and is stolen by Lady Tremaine to commit her wrongdoing.
- When she kills the Fairy Godmother with the wand, Lady Tremaine uses the famous words "Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo", which comes from the film Cinderella. ("Hyperion Heights")
- Ironically, these words are said by the Fairy Godmother herself in the film.
