Elizabeth Mitchell is the American actress who portrays Ingrid on ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Elizabeth Mitchell was born on March 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California.[1] She grew up in Highland Park[2] in Dallas; regularly taking acting classes at the Dallas Theater Center for about six years[3] and performed with the Encore Company until high school.[2] Elizabeth studied at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts,[4] at the Stephens College; earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and then graduated from the British American Drama Academy.[5]

After moving to New York, Elizabeth landed her first screen role as Dinah Lee Mayberry Alden McKenzie in the daytime soap drama Loving, but she was fired after four months. Returning to theater work, she became an understudy in Edward Albee’s off-Broadway production of Three Tall Women and toured nationally with the show. Small television jobs in the short-lived series L.A. Firefighters and Significant Others followed, but it was her role as Linda in Gia, the biographical film about the life of model Gia Marie Carangi, that garnered attention.
