Elizabeth Mitchell is the American actor who portrays Ingrid on ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Elizabeth Mitchell was born on March 27, 1970 in Los Angeles, California.[1] She grew up in Highland Park[2] in Dallas; regularly taking acting classes at the Dallas Theater Center for about six years[3] and performed with the Encore Company until high school.[2] Elizabeth studied at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts,[4] at the Stephens College; earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in acting and then graduated from the British American Drama Academy.[5]

After moving to New York, Elizabeth landed her first screen role as Dinah Lee Mayberry Alden McKenzie in the daytime soap drama Loving, but she was fired after four months. Returning to theater work, she became an understudy in Edward Albee’s off-Broadway production of Three Tall Women and toured nationally with the show. Small television jobs in the short-lived series L.A. Firefighters and Significant Others followed, but it was her role as Linda in Gia, the biographical film about the life of model Gia Marie Carangi, that garnered attention. This lead to secondary film roles in Molly, Frequency and Nurse Betty before Elizabeth grabbed the part of Beatle Paul’s wife in CBSThe Linda McCartney Story.[2] Her other notable acting ventures include psychiatrist Dr. Kim Legaspi on ER, fertility scientist Juliet Burke on Lost and FBI agent Erica Evans on V.

Elizabeth is married to actor Chris Soldevilla, and they have a son named C.J.[6]
