Catherine Lough Haggquist is the Canadian actor who portrays the Fairy Godmother on ABC's Once Upon a Time.
Biography
Catherine Lough Haggquist was born on April 3[1] in Vancouver, Canada[2] and raised in the Canadian Prairies in Western Canada.[2] She has been a professional actor for over twenty years and has appeared in over fifty film and television productions.
In 1996,[3] Catherine opened Biz Books, a Vancouver-based bookstore specializing in film, theatre and television literature resources for people looking to expand knowledge on such subjects.[3][4]
In March 2008, she was honored to receive the Special Jury Award for Women in Film & Television Vancouver for her contributions to British Columbia's film industry. Catherine's credits include work on the television series Supernatural, Fringe, Arctic Air, as well as film work on Tron: Legacy, Elysium and voice acting work on the animated series Iron Man: Armored Adventures.[5]
Additionally, she joined the Vancouver Acting School, which is run by actor Michael Coleman,[6] in 2010 as a coach instructor. Currently, Catherine teaches classes based on an approach to the acting business she developed for actors called "Producing Your Acting Career."[3]

- Is friends with Once Upon a Time in Wonderland co-star John Prowse, and his wife Bronwen Smith, who plays the Cashier in the Once Upon a Time episode "Firebird." In July 2018, Haggquist started a crowdfunding campaign to help the couple rebuild their lives after they lost everything in a fire.[7]
