Brigitte Hales is a writer of ABC's Once Upon a Time.

Biography

Not much is known about Brigitte's early life. She is married and has a daughter.[2]

In 2014, Brigitte finished to write her first novel, The Sorrows of Sofie Trundlehopper.[3] That same year, she wrote a pilot script for ABC Family called Londen’s Calling, a dystopian fantasy series that has been described conceptually as "Sucker Punch meets Girl, Interrupted".[3] Despite being optioned and put into development by the network,[3] the series has not been picked up.

Later, Brigitte got her first staff job, when she joined the writing team of 11.22.63, a Hulu science fiction thriller miniseries based on the book 11/22/63 by Stephen King.[4] She wrote the fourth episode, which premiered on March 7, 2016.[5] The series and its writers - including Brigitte - were nominated in the "Long Form - Adapted" television category at the Writers Guild of America Awards in 2016.[6]

In May 2015, after the departure of Kalinda Vazquez, Brigitte joined the writing team of Once Upon a Time as replacement.[7] She did not write an episode until January 2016, which is when she started to co-write "Sisters" with David H. Goodman.[8]
