I would think Rumple would still want to cleave himself from the dagger, it's just that at this point, he needs to make sure he is alive to do that. It's possible that the Apprentice is still in the Hat, considering that the spell was carefully tooled by Rumple to release only the fairies and Chernabog.
Oh ofcourse I almost forgot that he was nearly dead! But why would Rumple not realeash the aprentice and question him, I think he knows a lot about the sorcerer that we are yet to learn, unless he already told Rumple everything he nows.

Probably because Rumple did not know how involved the Apprentice was in the Author's disappearance. Or maybe that was just characteristic of the spell. It may not have been a get-out-of-jail-free card, and the Chernabog may in fact be the price for releasing the fairies from the Hat.
Curious as to how Lily ended up with a necklace that, supposedly, belonged to Maleficent. I mean the only way that that would be possible, as far as I can see, is if Cruella or Ursula had stolen it from Mal, had it on them when they went through the portal and then left it with Lily when they left her in the woods; which to me at least seems pretty unlikely.
I think it wasn't a necklace to begin with. The Apprentice said that it "wasn't exactly stone, but it did belong" to Maleficent. My first thought was, "What, part of her claw snapped off?"

I was a bit confused about Lily's necklace. Moons aren't that special to Maleficent, I think. Is it? Well, if it isn't, I'm assuming that that is the Apprentice's doing. When he approached Lily, he pointed out her necklace complements her birthmark. Maybe he marked her wrist to confirm that she was the child he unintentionally banished. Also, at her first appearance, she had a key as a pendant on her necklace, and I remembered a theory from someone that that key unlocks the box containing the Sorcerer's hat. I guess it was just a theory.
I haven't seen the episode yet so I'm just going off of recaps and reviews. Even if it wasn't a necklace to begin with there still doesn't seem to be a logical explanation as to how it got to the LWM :/
No explanation provided, but open to speculation.
However, I would recommend that any further discussion of the episode be moved to the thread on the General Discussion board on Thoughts on Lily .
How would Lily have known it belonged to her Mother?

And, if Lily is the sorcerer's daughter, she is likely (though Not Guaranteed) to be magical herself. Just what we need, another Queen of Darkness. Can we get a call out for at least ONE more King of Darkness besides Rumple? :)
The only problem with that is that the Greeks never viewed Death as evil, nor the Lord of the Dead. True, no one liked to talk about him, but he wasn't considered evil. Besides, Greek mythology is Western; that's where Western culture started.
I don't think that Greek story's or Greek gods are suited for this show (aldo I'm a fan of greek mytholigie). It is a fairytale show, and not with gods and goddesses, but I think that the show is really good in taking characters from other movies or show and still be origanal, like with the frozen arc, they completly coppied the characters from Disney's frozen but still the story they made up with it was amazing and very heartwarming, so I don't mind if they take characters from other movies or shows.
Well, I'm not arguing any which way. I'm just saying that if they did, I would prefer that Hades remain decent. With the exception of Percy Jackson, no modern media portrays Hades accurately. That was the only point I was trying to make. I would like to see a TV drama about mythology, just not on this show. The dynamics of the show are already complicated enough, with the fairy tales. I feel squeezing the myths in there would almost cheapen them, since they would not be the focus of the show. It should be left to references, like with Medusa.
