Dania's acting doesn't help either, or her lack of chemistry with Andrew.
There is definitively her lack of chemistry with Andrew, but there is something else too, and I don't know if it is just a lack of good acting skills. Honestly, I wasn't so thrilled about Jennifer Morrison's acting performance either, especially in the later seasons. The more we went on, the more expressionless her face seemed to become, and the lower the volume of her voice seemed to get - maybe because by whispering everything, she would have to move her mouth even less? Then Dania came in, and there is that face that doesn't move a muscle again. No matter the emotion she is trying to portrait - happy, desperate, baffled, wonderous, crying, laughing - we get the same flat mouth and crazy wide eyes. So now it seems too much of a coincidence to blame it on the two girls' lack of acting skills. What is it, then? The direction? The other actors don't seem to have the same problem. Feedback from the public? I don't think anyone would ask for a static leading lady. The Network? Maybe. This way they both sure get fewer wrinkles. The fact is that, weird casting choices aside, something needs to be done to revive my interest in the show. It got way too repetitive and needs a more original storyline that doesn't keep milking out episodes from making the main characters running off-scene - over and over again - with the same "feeling unexpressed" and/or "secret unsaid".
