After seeing the [http://www.spoilertv.co.uk/images/once-upon-a-time/Season%203/Misc/Once+Upon+a+Time+-+Season+3+-+Fist+Look+at+Ariel.jpg.php picture]  of Ariel dancing with Prince Eric, I began wondering what the ball was in honor of. At first, I assumed it was Eric's birthday.... as the prince's birthday was a major event, in the fairytale. Then it hit me, that it might actually be Eric's wedding.... making Ariel the "other princess".

After seeing the picture  of Ariel dancing with Prince Eric, I began wondering what the ball was in honor of. At first, I assumed it was Eric's birthday.... as the prince's birthday was a major event, in the fairytale. Then it hit me, that it might actually be Eric's wedding.... making Ariel the "other princess".

Has it even been stated in-show, if mermaids and sirens are two different species?
