I think rewrites of the seventh season or any of the seasons should be fully approved as long as they follow the established logic. An example, an inverted story, with heroes being villains and villains being heroes, a Light One instead of Dark One, would not be something so strange, would it? A story where all realms were affected by First Curse. There are several possibilities and as long as you follow the main concepts of the show, it would be okay to leave it that way.
And also not necessarily rewrite the show, you may well create a story of the characters that appeared in the series following another logic. An example, Camelot, create a story based on the legends of King Arthur in which Arthur really was a hero and faced Mordred and Morgan le Fay and had no fix on being the destroyer of darkness, what would be the problem of creating this?
You don't like a part of the story could be just a chance you could change it. I, for example, would add Poseidon and the other gods in the Underworld and Hades plot. Or Poseidon (god) be the father of Ursula (non-goddess) and put her name in honor of another Ursula, who is a goddess.
