With the wreckage, I may be able to scavenge what I need to make a weapon that could work on him. It's the only thing I've ever seen that can bring him down.

Batons are items featured on ABC's Once Upon a Time. They first appear in the twenty-second episode of the fifth season.

History

After Third Curse

Zelena, Mary Margaret, David and Hook are accidentally pulled into another realm, the Land of Untold Stories. As their only way home, the Apprentice's wand, is broken, they seek magic from a groundsman, Jekyll, to fix it. Jekyll is too terrified to help them, but before he can make them leave, an orderly named Poole, armed with a baton, arrives to magically taser the group into unconsciousness. ("Only You")

Mr. Hyde ingests a red serum to split himself from Dr. Jekyll. He then attempts to choke the life out of his weaker half, but the heroes return to save Jekyll. Poole tries to stop them with his taser, however, Zelena quickly knocks him out with a bolt of her own magic, enabling Mary Margaret to pick up the baton and taser Mr. Hyde into unconsciousness. ("An Untold Story")

In Storybrooke, Dr. Jekyll offers to use the remains of a fallen dirigible to construct a weapon weapon to beat Hyde, as the dirigible and the baton were made from the same materials. After the weapon is made, Regina lures out Hyde, but Emma is distracted with a vision, which keeps her from using the baton on Hyde. She eventually snaps out of it and tasers Hyde. ("The Savior")

Emma and David track down Mr. Hyde in the woods. Emma tries to take him down with the baton again, but Hyde ducks down and the shot hits a tree. Neither of them are a match for the villain, who quickly overpowers them both before taking off. Later, Dr. Jekyll attacks Belle aboard the Jolly Roger, but she stabs him with a piece of a conch shell before running onto the deck. Jekyll grabs his baton and follows her. Jekyll corners her and while threatening her with the baton, he explains he wants to kill her as revenge on the Dark One, whom he blames for Mary's death. However, Hook comes out of hiding to defend Belle, and after a scuffle, he shoves Jekyll away, causing the man to be punctured through the chest by a harpoon. ("Strange Case")
